If you can, I'd probably end up picking up a Lenovo R27Qe or a Coolermaster GM2711S instead of this unit.

The 27Q is an aging unit that is now out performed by newer models for the same price (or less)

It never ceases to amaze me how people can become so knowledgeable on the incremental improvements to such a niche product.

And that’s coming from someone who wrote a deep dive here on standing desk actuators.

Everyone has their niche. Mine just ended up being monitors and display tech in general

        • what are your thoughts on MSI MAG 275QF? Because the cooler master one is out of stock and the other one is a bit out of budget

  • Got this the other day when it was on sale. Good units but these are huge (thick).

    • better because the refresh rate? thx or cause of release date?

      • +1

Price, size, refresh, newer SS IPS panel :)

    • I’m tempted to get two for office productivity. Not much of a gamer.

The thought of scrolling through spreadsheets, PDFs and websites at buttery smooth refresh rates is kind of appealing.

WUHD and DQHD are still stupid expensive, and the prices on high refresh ones are even stupider.

I have a similar monitor in a gaming/office setup. The old 1080p monitors portrait and this is a great gaming centrepiece which isn't far of a 4k for productivity.

    • What is the panel lottery like for this? Just standard dead pixel and backlight bleed or are there hidden variants?

    • This monitor is currently @249. I'm in the market for a 27" 1440 monitor for gaming.

Should I wait around for another monitor to show up on here or is this a good deal?

  • How about their 27k, any other options within similar price range?

  • I've got 3 of these and a 27K, never considered them 'thick'

  • Heads up there's two potential panels, LG or BOE, the LG is supposed to be more consistent.. the BOE, which I received, is supposed to have better motion handling, but my sample had backlight bleed, and panel uniformity issues I couldn't live with, so I returned it.

Also the anti-glare coating was pretty aggressive, and had a shimmering silver look in all lighting situations, was even visible in a pitch back room somehow.. but I guess coating is down to personal taste.. not sure if both panels have the same coating.

  • Great monitor highly recommended, bought 2 previously

  • Price drop ($311.00) now with coupon $248.80

    • does ebay allow refund of price difference if you got it a few days ago?

      • not sure, possible option if it hasn't been sent try contacting seller to cancel then buy at cheaper price ?

eBay have a price guarantee voucher for finding (within 48 hours) it cheaper outside eBay but not for price drops on their site.

        • I got a notification that the order has been shipped this morning, just my luck

I contacted Ebay and they told me to contact the seller. I called HP and they said they have nothing to do with it if its not from their own website. My only option now is to buy the monitor again at $250 and return the $270 one.

update: price drop again ($299.00) now with coupon $239.20

  • This is now $249

  • Still a good product for the price if you win the LG lottery panel. 32q is also on sale $320.
