Miele Pyrolytic Oven H2267-1 BP $1679.40 (40% off) + Delivery @ Miele Online

920

Miele's current sale has 40% off selected ovens, there are only a few with 40%, others are up to $500 off. I bought this oven one last month at full price, $2799 (with 10 year warranty), now using my 28 degrees card that I didn't cancel to get the price protection.

This is the pyrolytic version of the base model.

The base model, H 2267-1 B is also 40% off at $1319.40

I haven't received the oven yet so can't comment on its use.

  • Seems to have good reviews. Also same price at Harvey Norman

    • And everywhere else

Miele are same price everywhere because they're an agency product. Meaning when you buy them you're buying direct from Miele but people like Harvey are your agents on behalf of Miele and they get commission off it.

So you'll never get a better price from anybody else. The only way a sales person will give you a discount is if you buy something else. You'll be able to negotiate something off the non Miele product.

      (I used to sell appliances)

        this guy mieles

      • Yep it even looks that way but thanks for explaining it's actually what occurs.

You can get it cheaper (sale price is the same) by way of credit card rebates or whatever store coupons are floating around from the different retailers.

        • +1

          Not necessarily true.
I believe you order from Miele direct. So HN gift cards etc. are not accepted as the purchase is through Miele.

        • Credit card rebates would work. Store coupons would not. Everything goes directly through Miele’s portal, not the stores POS system. All sales from HN, TGG, etc will always exclude agency brands.
The only exception was David Jones many many years ago where you could use their gift cards to purchase.

      • Any idea how long this is on sale for?

        • Says 24days left, is that accurate?

      • Can't you still negotiate with the agent on their commission?

        • Nope these terms are set between the Miele company representative and the store so the salesperson has no ability to change anything

        • If you are friends with someone who works for good guys or JB. Then yes they can give you a better price than the commercial pricing.
My friend got almost all Miele appliances with good warranty+ delivery at a cheaper rate.

          • @APN Adelaide: It's a few % at most, staff will not get them significantly cheaper like they do the non-agency products. Retailer staff price generally costs or cost + x%, so on other whitegoods it's a significant savings.

@TheFyrd: With Miele you can get amounts off, think 30-40% depending on your store rep. Though, those units are under specific scrutiny and is meant purely for your own usage. If they find out you sold it to a friend/family your store can get in big trouble.

      • Yup… that is how Miele gets around anti-competition price fixing laws in Australia.
I can remember a friend who sold Miele stuff telling me that in the late 1990's so they have been getting away with it for a long time.

        • I originally wrote an essay but thought it sounded a bit preachy the bottom line is it's not price-fixing as it's a single manufacturer. This is not the same as all the retailers getting together, crushing their competition and then fixing the prices significantly higher.

I have a similar version of oven to this (6267bp I think). It’s now nearly 7 years old, not a single issue thus far, with even temperature control-far superior to our AEG, which is smaller, but less even in temp.
Love the dials, which quickly and easily pick the setting you require - unlike those that have digital menus, you have to cycle through with multiple button presses to pick your mode.
    Can highly recommend ours

I used to have a Bosch pyrolytic oven at our old house. Was so great to clean. Just press the button and it turns all the baked on oil into soft white powder at the bottom of the oven you can then vacuum out. No other cleaning! But the house would really smell from the burnt oil - so would have to open the windows during it. But I miss having that feature.

        Dexter would approve… ;)

        • +1

I wanted to hack it to unlock it during the cycle so I could cook pizzas. Never got around to that though.

  • Good price for great brand. Nothing will ever top this pyro oven deal though https://ozb.me/o/3aSq?u=em

    • Only in Tempe?

      • I got mine at Rhodes, couldnt tell you about other locations

    • Ahh yes, the infamous Tempe oven. I was soo close, but ended up screwing up. Have never recovered.

      • I was luckily enough to score one.
It replaced my 10yr old Bosch oven which i sold on FB market for 400!

    • hmmm, not sure, I managed to get this deal:
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/468183

$224 for a Pyrolytic Oven, still going strong today.

      • Not bad at all.

    • I still have my $399 Ikea Tempe one sealed up, not even installed yet.

  • Combine with Daylight Savings with AMEX - Harvey Norman, spend $300 or more, get $50 back offer. Thanks OP!

Don’t think you can. The HN site redirects u to Miele for check out online? Unless you’re referring to in store? Not sure how that works

      • Good point. Try in store.

Remember buying H 2267-1 B from Miele ebay store during COVID for $899. Inflation has driven the price up…

    • Same model?

    • Where at before?

Personal opinion, the insulation in Pyrolytic overs is significant, hence they seem to use less power and surrounds not as hot under normal use.
Even though I rarely use the Pyrolytic feature, recommend Pyrolytic if your budget can stretch.
I don't have this, just the Bosch.

    • Thanks for sharing this positive plus of pyrolytic ovens, it's often overlooked that they are more efficient due to the insulation.

      • +1

Not that kids should be touching ovens, but they are also cooler to the touch (unless on cleaning mode) but for everyday use due to the insulation.

Perhaps a consideration for those kitchens where the oven is low down.

  • Had a look through the installation instructions.

You have to have a 150cm^2 gap at the back of your cupboards to allow heat to escape. With a 600mm wide oven this ends up being 2.5cm x 600.

I also think the new regulations require a cutoff switch nearby so if you don't have that already it won't be a simple plug and play option.

    • Looks like they don't offer an installation service, I guess this means you need to hire an electrician?

    Any deals on cooktops?

  • -1

    offtopic - Anyone has https://shop.miele.com.au/en/kitchen/cooktops-and-combisets/…

    Interested in their reviews

  • I believe this note is hardwired. So unless its a like for like swap the sparky will want to replace the cables.

  • Did anybody get the error on checkout? The product is not available anymore.

    • worked fine for me, preorder though, which sounds like it may never arrive.

      • Thanks I just tried again and the preorder message came up. Says from 17/10 so fingers crossed that is legitimate?

  • Does this fit into a standard IKEA/Bunnings cabinent ?

  • +1

Should fit as it’s standard 600mm oven

  • Do Pyrolytic Ovens need any kind of power upgrade in the house or can the installer just wire it to existing oven connection?

  • +1

New to this but need 2 x 600mm ovens to be installed above each other.

    Can anyone make recommendations?

Seems like this is a good buy for a good brand, are there any features I should consider that this model does not have?

  • Seems like they’ve sold out. Anyone know of any way to get decent value ovens/ induction cook tops currently?

    • Yeah I'd like recommendations for a pyrolitic oven - they are all similarly priced and hard to differentiate.
I got an induction cooktop 1/2 price from Samsung. People rip on them for kitchen appliances but it's been brilliant so far.

  • Only two years warranty as standard for Miele home appliances? :/

  • yea looks like this has been taken off =(, anyone has experience with aeg oven? considering one atm.. are they good?
