Warranties are also locally supported by Longi and Solax

Pretty impressive that Longi and Solax are going to be supporting Jinko and Growatt warranties.

You missed the other one where

Longi has extended their Winter Promotion

      on Jinko and Growatt…

    Need a sydney deal

    • I've been in the industry since 2011 and from NSW. If you message me I can put you in touch with someone.

$5999? Ryde Energy have the same exact product for $4299

    • better price, and better value?

      • +3

What value? They have exact the same panel and inverter. How you gonna justify the extra $1700? Do you offer free roof top cleaning service every year for 7 years? This is ozbargain. How is yours a bargain when someone else has it $1700 cheaper for the exact same product.

        • They have a few unhappy customers it appears. We have always made it a goal to never do that, and have maintained that for over 10 years now.

          • +6

@Coffee-King: I'm sure you have, but do you have a way to quantify that claim? You have 4.9 stars (109 reviews) and your competition has 4.8 (294 reviews).

I personally don't think a difference of 0.1 stars could justify a 39% difference in price (assuming that the $4,299 quote above is correct). Yes, they have more unstatisfied customers, but they also have more satisfied customers. Unfortunately this is OzBargain, and people want to see bargains.

Disclaimer: I don't know either of these two companies.

            • @bio: Sure I have what? Unsatisfied customers? No, not one in over 10+ years. It;s not hard to keep everyone happy if that is your goal.

              • @Coffee-King:

Sure I have what? Unsatisfied customers?

                No:

We have always made it a goal to never do that

                I'm sure you have

          • @Coffee-King: Could be good customer service as you say; could also be a performant review litigation moderation team.

Where are you seeing that price? Their website has "from" $4799 and call for a quote.

And it's with 370w panels so it's not exactly the same.

          • @TheJoker: Fair point. If it's not the same product this discussion is moot.

            • @bio: No. It’s exact the same panel and inverter

              • @catbin: You should link it. Website ad is 370w panels.

              • @catbin: You should link it. Website ad is 370w panels.

          • @TheJoker: check their Facebook page. I just checked their lastest price now is $4399.

            • @catbin: Last post on Facebook was Feb 29 because the phones were down…

              • @TheJoker: No that’s their real price. 2 weeks ago the price was $4299 before. Even 3999 a couple month ago. if you are interested having one or even just check out the price just ask them on Facebook messenger

  • Any options for two storey decramastic roof ?

    • no, where is it?

    • No installer will touch a decromastic roof. They are too prone to damage when walked on.

  • In QLD, 4128 ?

  • 2 storey, terracotta roof, nobody wants to touch it.

    I was quoted $25-$30k 4 years ago for Huawei 2000 5kW inverter, 18 x 370w LONGI HiMo panels.

They all wanted to remove the existing 2kw system from Energex which was installed a gazzilion years ago, run new DC cabling etc etc. Existing panels are on the west, and I wanted them to just install the new panels to be installed on the east facing side as there is not much roof space on north orientation. On top of that I needed to supply at least 20 replacement tiles, which I had sourced.
Ended up deciding it cost too much and I'd likely move/rent the house out in the next 6yrs, so not worth the cost.

    edit: found the quote

    • Decision limbo is the worst. I have a 1 storey terracotta roof, and I don't know how much longer I'll stay in this house for.

      • -1

I have no plans to get an EV to charge at home, no more changes to family and plans to move out of the house once kids start high school. ROI is just too long.

  • I know you can't give secrets away but how do you do it so cheap? Our neighbour did ours for $9k cash on tile roof, same size, Jinko panels, but a goodwe inverter. Has the smart stuff, hot water timer, removal of old system and hot water tariff.

His pricing was way better than others too.

    • +1

yeah, that's around our normal pricing. We have no salesman to pay anymore, don't have to buy leads or office space now, so that all trims thousands. This is just a promo.

  • +1

Also, buyer beware, any 10kw and over inverters in Qld need to have remote shut off which the energy company's control. They can remotely turn off your solar too try and control pressure on the grid.

  • +2

How much to include an appropriately sized battery?

    • Keen to hear if you have any bundle options!

  • Hi OP, how much is the cost of the battery to store the energy overnight? thank you

  • Would have jumped on this however we have a 2 story house with terracotta tiles - do you recommend anyone who does install on terracotta?

    • Where are you located?

  • +1

With the level of bankruptcies in this economy such statements are meaningless

"The main value in this offer lies with the solar business that you are purchasing it from."

There are two constants that I will always value above "trust us"

    Price and Quality.
