You (“Customer”) will receive a $100 Digital Prepaid Mastercard® (“the Card”) when you successfully Switch and connect your Broadband plan via the given link below, subject to these Terms and Conditions. 

Broadband: Offer available only in NBN and Opticom available areas within Australia. This offer is available to new customers. 

Energy: Currently available in NSW, ACT, SA, VIC, parts of QLD, TAS & WA (only Gas). Not available in Ergon Area (QLD), NT, and embedded networks or non-quotable meters. 

Eligibility and Activation 

To be eligible to receive the Card you must connect to the Broadband Plan, Electricity Plan, or Gas Plan via the following link: https://www.econnex.com.au/promo-october

Your Broadband Plan must be activated within 30 days from the date of application. 

When the request for a switch or connection cannot be completed, is unsuccessful, or a request is made for the cancellation of your Broadband Plan or Electricity Plan, and/or Gas Plan within the first 30 days from the date of activation, you will not be eligible to receive any Card. There may be additional fees charged to the Customer by the chosen retailer in these events. 

Eligible Recipients will receive the applicable Card/s by email up to 90-120 days after connecting to the relevant plan/s. 

Card Details 

The Mastercard® Digital Gift Card is issued by 545490 Pty Ltd, ABN 83 648 605 225 trading as Karta Co (‘Karta’) and distributed by 545490 Ops Pty Ltd. Mastercard and the circles design are registered trademarks of Mastercard International Incorporated. 

Redemption of the Mastercard® Digital Gift Card is subject to the standard terms and conditions, which can be found at https://www.karta.com.au/terms-conditions. 

The Mastercard Digital Gift Card requires activation/claim within 30 days from the date of issue. 

Econnex Comparison and Karta will not honour the Mastercard Digital Gift Cards if not redeemed within the timeline. 

Econnex Comparison and Karta will not replace expired, lost, stolen, or deleted Mastercard Digital Gift Cards. 

Mastercard Digital Gift Cards are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash. 

Once the Mastercard Digital Gift Card is issued, it can be accessed using a 6-digit code for verifying the recipient’s Karta. 

The Mastercard Digital Gift card will expire 90 days after activation/claim. 

If the Card is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute it for a card with equivalent value, subject to directions from a regulatory authority. 

Check your Spam/junk email if you have not received a Mastercard Digital Gift Card in your inbox within 90-120 days after activation of your Broadband plan, or Energy Plan.

    I find that the broadband plans are higher using econnex compared to going directly to the provider.

    I've had mostly good experiences with Econnex however the last time I switched gas and electricity, they provided the wrong meter number (one I have never used nor given to them) to the new provider and I was not aware until I got the first bill…from my previous provider who had kept on charging me (which is fair since I didn't technically leave them) but I also got the first bill from this new provider. The thing is, because the meter number is not mine, they wanted me to pay for someone else's usage. It's a whole back and forth now between the old and new provider which is pretty frustrating given this wouldn't be an issue if Econnex had just sent the correct details though

    Econnex (via Cashrewards) is still sending me their marketing SPAM even after unsubscribing. I also don't recall opting into receiving marketing emails.

  • The AGL Value Saver electricity plan includes $100 sign-up credit as per their website, but this is not mentioned through the Econnex site. Would like to know if this is still included through this offer.

      • Can you please elaborate on this? For example, Powershop has the $300 credit. Am i reading that your $100 promo in gift cards is not valid in conjunction with these retailer offers? Or are you saying that retailer specific deals not mentioned on your site cant be combined?

        • For Example if Powershop is providing you with any credit that is Applicable till the point you meet their Eligibility Criteria it can be used with this offer from Econnex, But any other offer From Econnex Can not be used with this Offer.

    • Yes you can choose future date for connection but the purchase of the plan should be in the time period of this Promotional offer for broadband the plan should be activated in the next 30 days of the purchase to receive the gift card along with other Terms and Conditions.

      • Assuming for gas and/or electricity you can't choose a future date for connection?

  • Do you send out any confirmation of the promo being applied? I signed up with Powershop for gas and elec the other night via the provided link. Got sign up confirmation but there is no confirmation or proof that i will get the gift card promo.

    I have a good rating but like to avoid credit checks if possible so that I can keep my good credit rating

    • Hi, I would just like to inform you that most of the Companies do credit check by default at the time of purchase but if you want to avoid credit check we Also Have AGL on our Panel which takes consent of customer and only does credit check when customer agrees for Credit Check. Thank you.

    • Curious about this. I chop and change providers at least 3-4 times a year and my credit score is above 900 and has been that way for about 4 years+. Why would it drop your credit score?

  • Shame your broadband only encompasses Superloop and Aussie Broadband. My current Superloop promo ends today. Anyone know if i can re-sign up with them tomorrow on a new promo or do they limit you to once every 12 months?

If you have a new address then you are eligible to get Promo from Superloop if you meet their eligibility criteria but you can still switch retailer with Econnex to have a chance to get the promotional offer.
