  • Hi OP, what food do you eat to improve your hair?

  • +1

    These dont work i believe?

    • +3

They do work but you need to be consistent with it.

    • +4

      They don't. They are unemployed.

  • +4

It doesn't do anything except dry, and it makes your head really itchy.

    Finasteride. Talk to your GP

    • +2

Definately see your doctor first, from a quick Google search of Finasteride, it requires an informed decision. Woman can't even touch this stuff without the risk of birth defects to their male offspring.

Interestingly I read it improves hair growth specifically on the scalp, and not on the body.

      • +2

Correct, does nothing for body at all but hair it works. I've been on it for over a year but for the other reason

    • -6

      It does nothing as well.

      • +5

Wrong. Finasteride (and dutasteride) are the only methods that actually adress the DHT hormone responsible for MPB. It's Minoxidil that does very little (encourages follicular regrowth, but does nothing to address the root cause of MPB).

        • -5

to see a change with Finasteride, you need to be on it for at least 2 years.
I'm a bloke who cant commit to what I'm doing for the next week let alone 2 years into the future.

plus I can grow a great mullet, no hair on top, but lots of hair on the back of my head

          • @Wiadro: Source? My temporal recession stopped pretty much instantly (within the first month) of use and I've maintained a Norwood 1.5 ever since.

Fair enough - rock the mullet.

      • +3

        It does nothing as well

That is not correct. I've been on it since 2004 or 2005. I have a full head of hair to show for it where I was balding in my mid twenties (disregard my handle, I am a male, just happen to be an AD Lucille fan). It does not take 2 years to work either. I'm not sure where you are getting this from, more like 6-12 month for best results.

Not hard to have the pills next to your toothbrush to remember to take it. It's not even expensive either.

Now about this deal, Minoxidil it does work as well. Your hair initially sheds and then regrows stronger. But stop using it and all your gains will shed quickly. I do agree with you it's not a great product and caused my itchiness when I tried it that one time (Kirkland brand). Never went back but Finasteride I kept up with.

    I prefer Dimoxinil, personally.

Now why would Mike Nolan of all blokes need assistance in this department

  • +3

Shave it off. Best thing I did when I was 21. Embrace it boys

  • The generic brand is still works out cheaper, whats the difference?

  • will this kill my cat?

    • +1

Yes. Don't let it attack your hairline or lick the water droplets in the sink while using

    • -2

Don't apply it to your cat…. If it has problem with hair, just let it be.
