Honestly the deal is really good. It's Sony offering the console for $1200 that makes this deal look bad. I bought my PS5 at launch and for them to take this console for $600 with very cheap game add-ons is not bad. Unfortunately it becomes less attractive when using it on sonys extortion PS5 pro console. But this isn't a fault with eb games

It might be okay for some people. If you are a long time OZBer and took on most if not all past EB deals posted, you should be at least an EB World Level 4 member.

But how does this work for games that use the DVD on the PS5 to validate the game is legitimately yours?
@rtfmoz: You'll still need a disc drive and your discs. If both PS5s have the same PSN account, only one can be signed-in at any one time I believe.
Check out their graphics comparison; if you pixel peep hard enough, you'll find slightly better texture somewhere in the background.

From memory their trade deal for PS4 > launch PS5 was decent. Granted I traded a couple extra controllers & old games etc but the only thing I paid out of pocket was the $200 deposit.
This is definitely terrible though. Will likely be waiting a while but won't even consider a PS5 Pro until they drop the price and include a disc drive.
I dunno, as a level 3 member I'll probably sign up to their 3 month sub for an extra 5% on trade, makes it $600 trade value for the OG PS5 and 4 games I'll pick up preowned for $5 each, so $580 for the PS5 itself - it cost me less than $100 more than that 4 years ago since I paid with discounted gift cards to bring it down $675.
Warranty refresh, new controller, smaller than the OG, extra SSD space - plus a bit extra performance, which if PS4 Pro was anything to go by will be more of a bonus for VR than it is for flat screen games.
