To max out the value on the current Steam Gift Card 'Powered by MSI' promo currently running we've put together the following AMD and Intel pre-built PCs. Still way cheaper than building it yourself after the discount code is applied and now with a $225USD (worth approx $332 AUD as of posting this) in Steam gift card value redeemable via MSI.

While the CPU cooler might be overkill for the less power hungry CPU options, and 500G primary SSD a little smaller than you might need, the enormously generous Steam gift card more than makes up for it. You can add a secondary 1TB or 2TB NVMe SSD if you need it from the options list on the website. In fact we highly recommend you do as when you start making use of that steam gift card that 500G drive is going to fill up quick! If you can hold out until the next Steam sale ETA Nov 28 you'll really get a huge amount of bang-for-buck out this one!

On top of that, the NVIDIA Game Bundle (Star Wars Outlaws with RTX4070 or higher) has been extended through OCT 10th! So if you were going to pick that up anyway, that's another ~$99 value right there.

Mods stripped it form the title but just want to highlight the use the 32G RGB 6000MHz CL30 RAM. Not the cheapest we could have gone for, especially with the competition using half as much, or much loser timings, but the CL30 timings really pair great with the Ryzen platform and does produce noticeable performance uplift in more CPU bound games and workloads! On that note, the same general theme applies throughout, no generics, all higher spec models that the typical 'ozbargain' PC posted by much of the competition. See our previous deals posted here. This post is already too long to go in the details.

Questions regarding Windows licenses & installation
- Yes, our licenses are 100% genuine OEM or retail licenses purchased directly from Microsoft authorized distributors. Physical copies of these products are provided with the PC including the license key cards and installation flash drive (for retail licenses) or COA stickers (for OEM licenses). Any system builder that doesn't provide these could be charging you full price for a grey market key of significantly less value and questionable origin. Always demand the physical copies!
- Yes, if you purchase Windows from us we will have it pre-installed, setup, updated and with all the required drivers pre-installed ready to go out of the box.
- No we cannot pre-install Windows for anyone who doesn't purchase a genuine license. We'd love to offer this as a service for those who already have a genuine license but selling a PC pre-loaded with Windows without a license purchase is strictly forbidden by Microsoft.
- Yes, if you have a genuine retail (not OEM or volume) license you can provide to us and that we can validate as genuine, we can activate it for you and provide the PC with Windows pre-installed. Contact us after placing your order with your order number and license details to arrange. OEM or volume keys cannot be accepted as they are non transferable to new systems.

  • Wish that primary ssd was just available to upgrade to a larger capacity (and as you said, I don't really want an AIO cooler and rather air cooled, but can't win them all)

    • Out of stock at the moment, but secondary SSD options available in 1 or 2TB!

If you're not getting us to install the OS for you it doesn't make much difference, but if you are, the primary drive will be the one the OS is installed to by default unless requested otherwise. If you prefer to switch them around, (500G to secondary, other option to primary) just leave a note at checkout and we'll make it happen!

    • Why don't you want an AIO?

    • If you really wanted to forgo the AIO and go for a different primary SSD we can do it, but you'd drop down from the 225USD gift card promo tier to just 120USD… You'd also possibly save a little bit of money on the cooler itself depending on which model you go for. Can always shoot us an email via the contact form on our website if you're keen.

I'd wait for the 4070 Super deal with the R5-7500F from techfast for $1448.

See that 9600X. it's good but it's not that good over the 7500F. Not $550+ better. I mean you get an extra 16gb here but other one is offering 1tb ssd, this one 500

    • +7

Is that a reference to the deal posted back in early may? here

You can configure our deal with the 7500F/4070 Super combo and it would come to $1809. The difference then being coincidentally about the same value as the Steam Gift card ($321~). Not to say the TF deal was bad, but it's not quiet an applies to apples comparison. Aside from the 500GB vs 1TB SSD, there's still…

      • 32G 6000 CL30 RGB RAM vs 16G 5200 (CL40?) non RGB
      • B650 chipset instead of A620 (plus much higher end VRM)
      • 2x NVMe Ports vs 1
      • WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, 2.5GB LAN vs neither WiFi or BT, and only 1G LAN
      • More premium case
      • Type C USB
      • 240M AIO instead of stock cooler
      • MSI Ventus OC model of 4070 Super instead of PNY Verto
      • 3x longer warranty as standard

Perhaps the TF deal is a winner if you don't need the extra RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth, Type C USB and won't get much value out of the $321~ steam gift card value… However if you do value the gift card at face value and will utilise any of the above, I think our deal is a pretty compelling alternative :)

  • What do you mean by windows not being installed? Can't I just login to my microsoft account and it automatically applies the licenses that I've got?

    • Sorry, we wish it was that easy! Microsoft don't allow any official retailer to provide an unlicensed pre-installed copy of Windows. Anyone who does is in breach of their licensing or reseller agreements.

As much as we would love to make it easy as possible for all customers, our hands are tied on this one.

  • Your BYO GPU option is not yet available for AMD build, also it would be good to see a 360mm AIO option and 64GB CL30 RAM option if included, thanks.

    • Apologies, the reference to a BYO option in the original post was a mistake, copy/pasted from our last post as a template and that slipped through the cracks. Sorry!

Can't remove the GPU without losing eligibility for the steam gift card promo. I'd you're keen on a BYO GPU build, checkout our previous post. Deal is still live!

Re: the 360mm cooler and 64GB CL30 RAM, will see what we can do, but in all honesty for 95% of the use cases, it's overkill that'll offer no real additional performance. Especially paired with anything other than the very top of the line CPU models.

  • Hi, I noticed on your site that the MSI MAG PANO M100R PZ Project Zero Black Mid Tower Chassis is only an extra $30 by itself. But an extra $86 on this deal. Any chance the upgrade could be a bit cheaper?

    • Ah, looks like theres a significant discount applied to the default case in this deal but not the PANO… It was only added because it's both eligible for this particular steam gift card promo, and a frequently requested upgrade option.

Ill see what we can do, but the way these deals a funded behind the scenes makes it unlikely we can apply the same discount to the PANO models. Sorry.

      • No problem, just thought I'd ask! Let me know what you can do.

        • +2

Managed to shave ~$36 off! Changes should be live now.

          • @evatech: Thanks so much! Don't see the updated price yet though. I'll put an order through this evening

            • @SNICH100: apologies, was live on the Intel variant, now it's live on both!

Hi, will you guys be restocking the Msi Pro B650M-A before November 30th?

    • Not something we're wanting to buy in bulk again now that we got a fresh shipment of the B650M Gaming Plus boards which are our preference. The B650M-A boards were only brought in for this deal as a stop-gap.

This deal is still on-going if you can recreate what you want over on that system!
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/872534

      • Isn't the B650M-A the better board?

        • I don't believe so but happy to be proven wrong if you have any sources. PS: I'm not the normal hardware-legend who we have on our team that makes in-depth posts on here, I'm just filling in!

At a quick glance and from our time with both of them in a hands-on capacity:
B650M Gaming Plus WiFi is the better board because it has:
          - integrated IO shield
          - rear USB Type-C port
          - both M.2 ports come with heatsinks instead of only the top on the B650M-A WiFi
          - the Gaming Plus WiFi board costs us more which is a typical indicator in conjunction with other positives such as these points
          - the WiFi antennas are a more positionable solution which may get better wireless signal for customers further away from their router
          - different positioning of PCIe slots (apart from the primary GPU one) probably slightly more conducive to being useful to add in other devices if needed
          - extra supplementary CPU power delivery

The B650M-A WiFi board isn't bad by any means - it doesn't represent any noticeable performance differences to us, but to us even the design screams that it's made to a budget as this is how MSI's basic board design looks. By contrast, the Gaming Plus WiFi board doesn't skimp on the design and we can see the extra physical inclusions too.
We don't feel that any customers would typically care one way or the other between these board choices, and certainly the OzBargain reception would seem to back that up, but given the choice (even with the slightly higher cost price) the Gaming Plus WiFi board we would imagine would be everyone's preference out of the two.

The Gaming Plus WiFi board was a late-arrival to MSI's AM5 motherboard lineup, so you may struggle to find it in review round-ups. The B650M-A WiFi was a popular one in the beginning if memory serves, but the Gaming Plus WiFi is so similar that we feel it's perhaps more of a slightly more mature/premium version of the B650M-A WiFi.

I don't make the purchasing decisions, but because of the integrated IO shield almost alone I would say that our preference would always be for these as sometimes the non-integrated IO is an issue for systems that ship, sadly, despite our many efforts to mitigate on this specifically. We've just got in a new bulk-batch of the B650M Gaming Plus WiFi, so I highly doubt we'd return to the other one any time soon if ever as the Gaming Plus WiFi (while in stock with our suppliers) is our preference at this moment in time.

I can only sincerely apologise if you feel otherwise and that you'd prefer the B650M-A WiFi board. If you have further feedback on this, please share it here or via DM/our contact form and we can ultimately use it to inform our future purchasing and deal decisions!

          • @evatech: No, not disappointed at all. Thanks for the detailed breakdown of the differences. The gaming plus wifi seems great.

Looking forward to your next MSI deal that hopefully pushes me over to order.

Hoping can include a larger MSI SSD (2tb ideally)
