I believe this price is an ATL and given the specs the prices are great especially for the 24 inch monitor.

Samsung S6U 24in QHD 75Hz 5ms FreeSync HDR10 USB-C (65W) IPS Monitor LS24A600UCEXXY - beats this deal

Samsung ViewFinity S8 27in 4K UHD HDR10 USB-C (90W) IPS Business Monitor LS27A800UJEXXY - beats this deal

    Samsung S6U 24in QHD 75Hz 5ms FreeSync HDR10 USB-C (65W) IPS Monitor LS24A600UCEXXY

someone tell me why i shouldn't buy it lol, using it purely for office shit

    • Then should get the other monitor 99 dollars

24in is too small for QHD. It could cause eye strain

      • +5

You can adjust scaling in windows if text is too small

      • I have a 24" qhd and i find it fantastic without scaling. Desk isn't overtaken by a hideous massive screen and enough pixels to support split screen documents. I don't find it straining at all

      • lol wtf. Does this mean you strain your eyes on phones? 1440p should be the standard for 24”. Way better pixel density.

      • 24in is too big for 1080p, it looks very blurry at 72ppi.

  • Is 75Hz ok for gaming?

    • imo need at least 144Hz

      • Most games can't even be run at 144 without a god PC. 60 is all you need. Competitive is the only time it's recommended for over 60, plus those games are highly optimised and easily go over 100 even on shitty systems.

I love how misinformation is still spread over refresh rates even in 2024.

        • +1

60 in casual looks a lot less smooth than 144hz, even on the desktop scrolling stuff it looks stuttery.

    • +3

Depends on what game you're planning on playing, and if you're using a mouse/keyboard or a controller (frantic camera movements with a mouse on lower refresh rates really make the game feel stuttery compared to the smooth controlled panning of a joystick)

  • Does anybody know if this monitor has an audio output to connect my Sony speaker to it?

    • +1

      Headphone only (see Spec)

      • So I can use the aux cable to connect to my speakers, right?

        • I suppose you could but the sound would probably be pretty bad compared to using headphones or a proper speaker output for them.

will these rust like my samsung washing machine?

    • +7

Nah they will explode like your samsung Note 7

  • I was trying to pick up the 24" monitor, but I cannot get the promo code to work so the price is showing $180. Has anyone gotten this to work?

    • +1

Update: It worked in an incognito window, not sure why logged into my account wouldnt work

  • +1

    Good price on both.
I just got a cheap 1920x1200 U2415 off Marketplace this morning for a 3rd screen to run portrait, I would have got this 24" if I saw it earlier QHD would be better.

🧙🏻‍♂️ Time for me to upgrade from my Acer 24" X243HQ from Nov 2009. I can't believe it is still working after nearly 15 years.

    • I think I'm in exactly the same situation. Can't bear to be rid of the old Acer 24", circa 2009 roughly as well, but kind of want to live it up and upgrade!

    • I'm still rocking a 24" Dell 2405 bought in 2005.
      1920x1200 - awesome back then.
Can't believe anyone would buy a 1920x1080 19 years later.

      • 🧙🏻‍♂️ My main monitor back then was a Dell 240WFP. They had a sale price for NRMA members. The variety of inputs the Dell had was amazing & even had a CF card slot. It died after about 7 years. I haven't binned it yet thinking it probably just needs the starter replaced or something.

  • Hi,

What do you think of https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/864516?page=1#comment instead of this?

    • i mean one is 34 inches with an ultra wide aspect ratio. Its almost two completely different products imo

  • My two 27" monitors arrived today. They are great. Thanks so much for posting.

  • Love this 24" monitor. Pair it with Better Displays and the resolution is sweet on Mac.
