      • Are you talking about a vesa mounted stand here?

      • the one you can buy with the monitor in this deal?

Already OOS when the deal was posted. The price was actually reasonable since it looks like ones suitable for >32" and 8kg+ listed elsewhere are all $50+.

EDIT: maybe this kogan one will do? Same one on Amazon.

        • also consider a monitor arm rather than a stand. :)

@paulojr: I would like to but our desk is this thick timber slab thing with a big bevelled edge that doesn't really work with clamps.

    • Can't say if its a bargain or even if its suitable but think this one looks a bit nicer than the one they were selling. $34 with 15% coupon though unless you need a 2 pack for $52…

  • Hey gents,
Can this charge the laptop with USB-C + and also display ? (Without using hdmi)

    Regards,

  • Hi OP
Shipping is 1 to 3 days leaving the warehouse, its now 4 days, when will they ship?

    • Was about to ask, has anyone received shipping notice or tracking number since the deal started?

      • Nope, I ordered on 3 Sept but hear nothing so far apart from just order confirmation.

        • Ordered just after yours, finally received shipping notice just now.

      • Yep, I've received mine. Order placed on the 2nd around 10pm, AusPost notification received on the 4th and the monitor arrived on the 5th.

    • My order confirmation for 2nd of September says "Estimated delivery Monday, 9 Sep–Tuesday, 17 Sep".
Not sure where you are seeing 1-3 days.

But yeah, have received no shipping updates though. Probably the latter date then.
@untech - how are the deliveries progressing for these?

      • It says it under the shipping section on the item but then i just read it will take longer if it is a sale item:

Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. During sale periods, it might take 2-7 days to process your order.

    • FYI I'm in metro Vic, I ordered 2 on Monday (2nd) and received them on Friday. Excellent condition as advertised.

      • Damn, i ordered same day and live an hour away

  • Also same price via Kogan

    • Same seller fyi

  • @untech

    Any updates on delivery times?

  • Whats the curvature on these?

  • has anyone mounted onto north bayou arm? does it handle the weight?

    • +1

I just did and it’s definitely pushing the arm to its limits. I had to tighten pretty much every pivot point to their max. But it’s holding up so far. It is (barely) within the supported weight range of the arm, but not the supported screen size range (though I don’t know why that matters if the weight is ok).

  • Received today, good condition with power cord and display cord. 7225H powered on. Let's see how long it lasts. Cheers @untech 👍

  • Got mine delivered this morning.
Manufacture date Jun/2014 :(, thought it's mostly 2017-18 so feel a bit unlucky.

One problem with the MDL port, I can only get it to run on 50Hz rather than 60Hz.
The HDMI port can do 60Hz no problem with the same cable, so unfortunately I am stuck at 50Hz with one of my two computers.

I wonder if this is the same with a newer 2017/8 monitor, or can be solved with firmware update?

    • Updated to 2017 firmware and still stuck on 50Hz with MHL port.
I guess that's it, not worth to buy a USB-C to DP cable for 10Hz difference on a rarely used machine.

Have a look at the user manual - https://dl.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_display_proj…

"MHL 2.0 signal input support "

it can do 1920 x 1080p 60Hz, which is kinda pointless for 3440 x 1440 screen, but then again, MHL wasn't really about that back in 2015.

        From Wiki:

        MHL 2
Version 2.0 was introduced in April 2012, and raised the minimum charging supply to 4.5 W (900 mA), with an optional 7.5 W (1.5 A) maximum allowed. Support for 3D video was also introduced, permitting 720p/1080i 60 Hz, and 1080p 24 Hz 3D video modes. The specification also included additional MHL sideband channel (MSC) commands.[20]

        • Yeah. I realised that's the MHL port problem. That's fine. I can't really tell the difference for web browsing and text task. Still happy about the purchase.

          • @mily: Yeah, my work PCs USB-C port is limited, so I have one of these at 60Hz, and my second 27" 1080P at 50Hz, not the end of the day for that type of use.

I have DP and HDMI into a Dock that feeds into USB-C.

  • Your eBay item is still more than buying direct $264.77 for eBay Plus members + $20 shipping.

Any chance you can drop the price further so we can buy at a cheaper price via your eBay store?

  • 4 Sep - ordered and paid
23 Sep - followed up and was told they were “looking for a suitable package” and “will dispatch it soon”.
30 Sep - received cancellation email
“Your order has been canceled… because of unforeseen circumstances”

I guess they tried for a few weeks but in the end couldn’t find that elusive “suitable package”.
