  Correct me if I'm wrong, Samsung monitors don't have the auto input detect function like Dell monitors. It always annoys me that I have toggle manually on my Samsung monitor.

        Yeah, do that. I have a Samsung UR55 (4K, 28") and it can auto-find a source or be manually set. It's handy but I find it is a bit picky about sources. But works fine usually.
