        • Does it work with loyalty discount?

          • @Johnseason: Hey, it is currently on Samsungs normal website for $1599 which stacks with loyalty discount + 5% first app purchase and monitor trade in which brings it to $1281. Just snagged one.

    Whats the different between the G95SD and the G93SD versions?

    • +2

      TLDR;
      *BUILT IN WEB BROWSER
      * AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTING BRIGHTNESS

      both are irrelevant as you can do those with a computer 🤨
      edit;
      also looks like 95 gets a fatter base, probably to do with its brains

        so much more thorough 🫶

    • Whether the smart TV Tizen features are included

  • Sorry for the noob question, but if you go the 49", if you don't want your game to span the entire screen cos then it's too wide, can you set a manual boundary? ie: right now I have x3 27", on my left monitor is my CCTV feeds which I'd like to retain when going ultra wide (ie: on the left of the 49" screen). Is that achievable?

    • Yes. It can behave as one monitor, or actually tell the computer it is 2 individual monitors, split in the middle.
      It cannot be 3, (1x) 49" = (2x) 27"

      • ok thank you. Dang as having 2 & 2 will mean my game won't be centered. I'll have to have a think about it.

        • yeah, pricy venture. haha. consider buying the 49" and mounting a 3rd 27" above it in the middle with an arm, many do that :)

    • As others have mentioned you can use software to achieve this. I use the PowerToys FancyZones (free from Microsoft). As long as you can run the game in windowed mode. I have my screen in 3 zones - in the middle 2560 x 1440 (game) and then 2 windows on either side. Just press shift and drag the app to the zone and it automatically resizes the window to fit.

      • Awesome. Sounds like a plan - if this is a good price, not really sure! Seems like a good discount for new models

    • I’d be getting a different screen for that at permanently splitting it into segments will just get vertical lines burned in where each source meets

      • Noted, thanks

  • Clicking this link takes me to a page asking for employee email address?

    • It's the Samsung EDU store.
      Requirement is listed at the bottom of the original post.

      Who is eligible to access the Samsung Education Store?
      Current or newly-accepted full-time or part-time students and employees of accredited educational institutions in Australia who have a valid email address ending in .edu.au.

      Unsure about other States, but NSW has many free TAFE courses which will you access to an .edu.au email.

      • I know, I am logged in with a .edu.au account already but still prompted for that staff email

        • Unsure whether you've just signed up to the regular Samsung store with an .edu.au email? You also have to go through a verification to access to Edu Store.
          I use a standard email address on my normal Samsung account (used on my mobile). I then verified my account, which sent a verification email to a linked .edu.au email address.

          If you've already done this, I would try logging on directly via edu store homepage (make sure you're already signed out of the regular store).

          • @walkerAU: Thanks, will give it a go :)
            Just having the same issue, asking for staff email (definitely on the education site).
