people wanna buy this shit? fmd

how is this a deal? you can get it 71c(euro) from other sites

    • -1

      link or it didn't happen

      • +22

who cares, if it doesn't work after a few years spend another 71c

        • +14

yeah theres plenty of cd key sites that sell it. Screw microsoft, they should give their OS out for free considering how much ads and bloatware nonsense they include these days.

      • +15

That really doesn't mean anything. They're volume license keys like any other resellers.

The company is registered at a virtual office address which confirms it. No different to dodgy $1 keys.

Common grift on Groupon/Stacksocial from third party sellers which they allow as long as they get their cut..

        • -6

These are retail licenses. Can check using the ShowKeyPlus app.

      • +9

        From a verified Microsoft Partner?

This doesn’t make it legit. It’s most likely a volume license which could be revoked at any point.

If you’re going to use these shaddy keys, just pirate. Both option aren’t legit.

        • -7

These are retail licenses. Can check using the ShowKeyPlus app.

  • +1

Microsoft has hundreds of thousands of "partners", that doesn't mean the keys are any better than the ones of cdkey websites.

https://www.groupon.com/deals/direct-store-shop-llc - this one at least has hundreds of reviews and is cheaper. But you can find keys for just a few dollars if that's what you really want.

    • -6

These are retail single device licences not oem or volume.

      • If that even is the case, what are the benefits?

      • If it's retail, does it come in a proper microsoft case like a bluray disc comes in? Is it a physical copy? That's what 'retail' is.

        • It's been a long time since Windows retail was boxed physical copy only. Do you not realise that you can now legitimately buy retail Windows as an emailed key such as Windows 11 Pro digital download from retailers such as JB Hi-Fi and that is a retail license. You get a retail license key emailed to you and nothing else. So there is absolutely no physical packaging with that.

          For example. https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/microsoft-windows-11-pro-…

      • Retail is a license which can only be used on one device at a time. But the license can be moved to another PC if you remove the license from the PC that it's used on.

    • Hats off salute to you m8. Saludos!!!

    • MAS FTW

    • Thank you, that worked great!

I have been using Office Tool Plus:

      https://github.com/YerongAI/Office-Tool

and I started to get the annoying 'get genuine office' nag screen a few days ago, but your link fixed it!

    • +1

It seems to me (and others I’ve spoken to) that MS don’t actually care about genuine purchases of Windows, rather that it’s installed and used. I mean I have Win 11 running in Parallels unlicensed and it just gives me a watermark on the desktop. Any other company that cares about licensing and revenue would enforce it more.

      • +2

Home users they wont care so much. But commercial users can get sued and fine for not paying for licenses.

    • This is the way, espcially having the full up to date office suite.

  • does anyone have the cheap deal for Microsoft office ?

    • +2

I don't think you understand the point of OzBargain…

  • +1

If you think you are getting the real deal, then you will be disappointed. These sellers are all claiming 'partner' but everyone can be 'partner'.

Everyone commenting is getting downvoted lol. Me next please ✋

    • -6

Down, down, the votes are down.

    • You just need to say something slightly left/right of the accepted narrative here and you’re in downvote heaven.

  • I just upgrade free watching of cost from windows10.

  • +6

Or just get Linux Mint for free & you don't get forced updates & spied on.

    • +4

But then you won't get basic, working, features replaced with half-baked AI/cloud/subscription-based crapware? Wait before you think on that further, please restart so we can update your computer.

No, not later. You need to restart now.

You're not listening to me. Restart now. OK I'm restarting for you, it's for your own good.

Good thing you weren't doing anything important (to us).

      • Oh don’t forget the “we’d love your feedback”, tips and tricks bars, ads, unwanted widgets, getting-in-the-way-of-getting-work-done nags, etc. Oh and “try the new…” apps. Where the new app is worse than the old one and you try to hold on to it until it’s forced upon you, because the old one worked. And was faster.

And the restarts tend to happen overnight when you have suspended the PC with work open and unsaved. Turn on in the morning and wonder why it’s booting from scratch, then there’s the dread…

Other than Linux and FreeBSD on my desktops, I’ve switched my laptop to a MacBook.

Linux desktop has come a long way since the 90s. I have pivoted to Linux on almost everything.. specifically Mint and it's great. Gaming is getting there… If you don't game then mint is a no brainer

      • +1

It definitely has. The barrier to entry is much lower now, the install process for the main distros like Mint, Ubuntu, Fedora etc are polished and bug free. Plus the documentation online is thorough and easy to follow. There are forums and IRC channels if you need to ask something.

      • Genuine question… I suspect Microsoft Office stuff won’t run on Linux, right? I don’t mean OpenOffice or others, I mean genuine Microsoft productivity package like Office, OneDrive/SharePoint, Team, etc.

        • You can on wine emulator i think.

          • @xoom: Nah. MS will go out of their way to ensure Office won't run under Linux.
Really only use Windows for gaming and when I have to use Office.

  • +3

Dont use lame key sites, you are just paying criminals. Its even worse than just stealing it directly.

  • So its Win 10 really. "Option 1: Microsoft Windows 10 Professional Product Key"

  • People actually pay for Windows.

    • +1

is that a statement or a question ?

    • +1

Yes corporations still pay for it. Because if they dont they get no support from microsoft.

  • +3

7-day cooling-off refund period does not apply to this deal

Is that because they know they're fraudulent keys, that may or may not work, and may or may not last?

Just get a Groupon with verified Microsoft Partner Licence Choice

Yeah nah I very much doubt that!

  • Since when is selling of unauthorised license keys a bargain?

On a side note, thanks to everyone for providing some links to crack windows.

  • +2
  • I understand everyone wants to believe, and the EU licence resale law gives a fig leaf of plausibility, but these are not legitimate keys.
Microsoft publishes the mechanisms to buy genuine licences - via Groupon is not one.

    • -1

Yeah i highly doubt that's legit.

  • -2

I have down voted the same way in past “deals” for windows/office keys, they are not real retail keys download the Microsoft PID checker to see the type of key that has been issued! Might as well just pay for a cheaper 1 euro key or just use the other methods listed above!

    https://m.majorgeeks.com/mg/getmirror/microsoft_pid_checker,…

  • Im still running windows 7, the best OS with old skool type features. Any win10 upgrades?

    • nah, windows XP was the best OS

  • If you only use browsing and office apps and not certain games than Linux. Remember apple and Microsoft are embedding AI to spy on you. So end to end encryption will be come useless if use these products.
