Bigger battery. 190 mAH in the 8 vs 233 mAH in the 9. Should see about a day or two extra battery life (normal usage).

No it will be more expensive. Have a look on youtube. Only downside I've seen is lack of pen support.

Mine only unfolds at about 120°. Only used for 1 year. Even with warranty Samsung won't help. Reason: a scratch on the hinge.

I feel you actually. Have been using a TKL for years. Maybe I would be more productive if I switched to numpad and give it a shot.
