Game pass core India - 36 months
Game pass ultimate India - 1 month

Use VPN, redeem core then ultimate = 19 months ultimate for under $10/month

        (new/lapsed accounts)

        • can you confirm if can use the Indian GPU 1 Month pass or has to be Aussie? I thought the final step needs to be your home location (Australia) according to the Reddit link?

          • @bchliu: I used India, no issues

            • @spackbace: Damn.. I bought the Aus 1 month GPU and tried to change my 36month Indian one and it broke the 36 month core..
It says that my 36 Month core was cancelled and now I only have subscription up to Sept 2026 (18 months!) even though the core is meant to expire on Feb 2028.

              What the?

Seems like it will only convert 18 months core at a time?

              • +3

@bchliu: Core converts at 2:1 now

                18 months is normal

I said that in my earlier comment…

                • +1

                  @spackbace: OK.. thanks for clarifying..

Probably was used to the previous offers around that did a full 36 months (VPN Brazil or something) and $1 / 1 month GPU conversion.. that was almost deal of century. Lol.

VPN Required: 18 Months Ultimate after Conversion @ AU$5.92 per month
        https://www.eneba.com/xbox-xbox-game-pass-core-12-months-key… (x3)

Or VPN Not Required: 18 Months Ultimate after Conversion @ AU$11.22 per month
        https://www.eneba.com/xbox-xbox-game-pass-core-12-months-key… (x3)

Prices are excluding the 1 month Ultimate key/sub you also need to get. Also using 5% off coupon codes from https://gg.deals/vouchers/eneba/

        • Did the account banning news from a few months back turn out to be anything? Seemed they were cracking down on other region redemptions, VPN or not, but I was sceptical if it was really widespread..?

        • Are you able to elaborate more on the process to get it at this price please? So say I get the "VPN Required" Option (and the 1 month Ultimate key), do I then just log in to my VPN within the India region, login to my xbox account, claim the code for the Core sub and then claim the code for the 1 month Ultimate?

        • $125/36 months, 1 month $10 = $135/19 months = $7.10/month

Any PC Game Pass hacks/deals? Don't have an Xbox

    • Ultimate includes pc game pass

      • +1

Yeah but was hoping to pay less for PC only. Wonder if this one still works

    • Telstra store had the cheapest PC Game Pass when I looked a month ago, about $9 per month for 3 months. I had like 7000 Telstra points from when I did the jb hifi pixel 9 Pro hack so that brought it down to like $10 for 3 months.

      https://plus.telstra.com.au/rewards/explore/23148

I think you do need a Telstra account. (I have one through boost mobile.)

  • Rather than pay in Euros you can buy in AU $ for A$35.82 according to the OP link.

    • There's service fees at checkout, making it $39.66
Paying in euro reduces those fees to a total of AU$38.64 after conversion

Also can use a 5% coupon from https://gg.deals/vouchers/eneba

  • Cheers, topped up this time around. The days of paying under $6/month seem to be long gone.

    Tried this today.

Step 1. VPN to India buy 3 India 12 month key, 1 India one month key

Step 2. Go to microsoft redeem and activate 3x12 month keys FIRST (Keep VPN on)

Step 3. Redeem the one month key (VPN on still), subscribe to reoccuring billing (one extra month free).

Step 4. Turn VPN off, you are golden. I got subscribed til OCT 2 2026

    • $125/36 months, 1 month $10 = $135/19 months = $7.10/month

    • Hey I’m trying the same method as you but can you confirm 100% that it’s till October 2026? I’ve followed the exact same steps and am currently on step 3 but before redeeming it says “Your new renewal date will then be 10/04/2026.”. Thought initially it could be a different date format but this isn’t the case as other dates in my account are dd-mm-yyyy. Thanks!

    • So the 36 months is India core and the 1 month is India ultimate?

      • Yes

        • I was under the impression the 1 month of ultimate had to come from your actual country your connecting to the service from i.e. Australia?

          • +1

@Steven Reece Lewis: I redeemed 12 month core and 1 month ultimate this morning via VPN (Turkey Codes)
Also got an extra month for turning on recurring billing (Which I have now turned off)

    • Quick question: did you by the Indian GP Core direct from Microsoft (via VPN to India) or through a third party seller (e.g. Eneba, CDkeys, etc)?

    • This doesn't work for me. Won't allow me to redeem my code (bought India code and currently using NordVPN)

    • Yeah, I can't seem to get mine to work. Keep getting Incorrect Region even after setting my Microsoft account region to India and using NordVPN to VPN to India (Virtual VPN). Can't get a refund for it either.

  • Turkey is also an option as a lot of VPN providers no longer have India Servers (like mine hide.me vpn) doesnt cost too much extra.
From Eneba I got 12 month core and 1 month Gamepass ultimate (Turkey codes)
Redeemed via VPN and allowed recurring billing to get 1 month free
So 8 months in total for $56.86 = $7.11 per month

Only went with 12 months card as Indiana Jones and Sniper Elite Resistance are the only games I plan to play on the service at the moment

Will have a look at what else is coming out in the 8 months I have

  • +1

thank you! worked perfectly. Used the discount code from https://gg.deals/vouchers/eneba and paid in €, total: $37.81 after conversion via ING

  • Tried to use India and getting error "incorrect region" even when using NordVPN. Any help with this issue?

    • Double check everything. First start VPN then refresh browsers or restart pc if needed

      • I did that as well. I feel like the code they gave me wasn't for India.

      • Yeah, I can't seem to get mine to work. Keep getting Incorrect Region even after setting my Microsoft account region to India and using NordVPN to VPN to India (Virtual VPN). Can't get a refund for it either.

        • I had that error on the Microsoft activation page, so I ended up going into my Microsoft Profile, swapping the region to India, then instead went to the Xbox activation page and it was happy to accept it. Once all done, swapped the region back and happy days. This was with a VPN that confirmed I was dropping out as an Indian IP. Now have ultimate activated till September 2026

          • @claymen: not working for me…I purchased 3x india 12 month GP Core + 1 month GP Core India as instructed and not redeemable in microsoft or xbox portals…

        • Try different VPNs, sometimes the VPN can be detected to not be in the country (India) even if it says so. It does not have to be a paid one, free VPNs can work (like UrbanVPN). Also you don't need to change your Microsoft account profile to India, it should actually be left on Australia.

          • @wangasm: Okay I'll give this a go. I had NordVPN and it didn't work.

            • @FiloGuy: Did you manage to get it redeemed in the end? Same boat here :(

              • +1

@fishnoxygen: Earlier today I did what the Ozbargainers above had advised - am noting it in detail below for future ozbargainers (and because of the region activation issue which I encountered):

                1) NordVPN to India enabled
                2) Purchased from Eneba GameCore 12 month India (initially I did 1 x 12 month - just to make sure it all worked, did the remaining 2 x 12 months once the below worked)
                3) used the link (that you can find on the reddit post - or in your account) to activate the 12 month gamecore key
                4) The system then gave me the error about not being in the right region (which I anticipated as per the above comments)
                5) Followed what Claymen wrote above, changed my location to india, closed my Brave browser, re-opened and tried again
                6) Key was successfully claimed
                7) Claimed the remaining 2 x 12 month India gamecore as per above
                8) Bought 1 x Xbox ultimate from Eneba (India region), and claimed it
                9) During the Xbox ultimate claiming, it asks if you would like to add your billing details and turn on auto renewal to get 1 additional month free. I had no success with adding either my ING or Macquarie as my default card for auto-renewal (it kept failing). I suspect it's due to the location stating "India" during the adding of the card - this is greyed out and I cannot change it.
                11) Even with VPN off, and location back to Aus (with aus billing address) - no luck - still says India when adding a card. So my Xbox Ultimate is enabled but it runs out Sep 2026 rather than Oct 2026 (if the free month had worked).

                • +1

@eltito: Perhaps if you had used a 1 month GPU for Australia instead it would have let you get the auto renew bonus, which may not be worth it anyway due to higher cost.

                • +3

@eltito: Thanks for the details mate, I tried couple of free VPN services - Urban VPN, PrivadoVPN - and all didn't work (I don't have NordVPN subscription).

In the end I found a workaround on a post in redflagdeals forum suggesting to change the Microsoft account region/country to Singapore, and redeem the India codes whilst VPN to India. However, this method only could redeem 12 months of Core (India) due to the 13 months Core limitation imposed by Microsoft for Singapore.

I did that and they were right. I redeemed my 12 months Core (India) and 1 month Ultimate (India) on redeem.microsoft.com (Xbox redeem page threw me the same incorrect region error). After the conversion and enabling auto-renew, I got 8 months in total - 6 months from Core (2:1 conversion), 1 month from Ultimate and 1 month from auto-renew. Note that during the auto-renew step, I encountered the same issue as you couldn't add AU cards, luckily due to the account being on Singapore region, it had the option for Paypal and that worked with AU cards.

Weird that this method works though, Singapore account accepting India codes whilst on India VPN. I suppose this method will be patched soon seeing that Microsoft is cracking down hard on us.

After the above, I tried adding another 12 months of Core India code and the conversion rate is poor, slightly less than 3:1 (almost 4 months). I didn't proceed with it, still contemplating. Perhaps I should save the remaining x2 12 months India Core for my next Ultimate expiration and try this method again.

                  I bought the keys from Eneba last week for A$122.91 with the 5% discount code (A$36.49 + A$36.49 + A$36.49 + A$10.29).
With the Singapore region workaround, the price per month for me is A$5.85 (8 months, A$36.49 + A$10.29).

This is far from the 1:1 conversion we used to have few years ago :(

                  • @fishnoxygen: Thank you @fishnoxygen, Singapore workaround saved me today after India as Region refused to work. 8 months of Ultimate for ~$6 per month.
When it came to the auto-renewal setup, I had to update my billing address to use a Singaporean postcode, but I've now swapped that back.
The only lasting impact seems to be that, even though my location is now back as Australia, they want to charge my next subscription payment in SG$ :D

                  • @fishnoxygen: My God you''re a lengend activated to via singapore for 12months core (india)
Worked a dream, spend 3days trying free vpns and ended up paying for ExpressVPN and ran into the same issue :|
At least 12months core is pretty good value.

  • Nothing works as of 01-03-25. Bought 36 months of core from India on Eneba. Using a VPN and changing region in Microsoft account results in a message saying you're trying to activate a code outside of your region. I opened one of the 12 month codes so they are refusing refund for that but they did refund for the other 24 months. Out of pocket $36. After balking at the official retail price for 12 months, I took another ride on the Eneba roller coaster and bought 12 month of Australian ultimate at $150.67 ($12.55 per month)

    • The Singapore region workaround I posted above works for me. I know you have already bought 12 months of Australia ultimate, perhaps you could use this trick the next time your ultimate expires. Fingers crossed it will still work by then.

Or you could just redeem it now to extend your current ultimate subscription but the conversion rate is poor which is a little lesser than 3:1 (almost 4 months).

      • Okay, the Singapore trick appears that it will work however, as I have already thrown a year of Australian game pass on their it says I currently have a subscription from a different region so it won't let me apply it. I sincerely doubt any of these methods will work 12 months from now. Thanks for figuring it out for the other people who are new or expired on the sub.

      • would your method work with and SEA based XBOX game pass core? I was thinking to buy Indonesian game pass as it's cheaper currency wise

  • I just tried.

    • Buy 36 Months Game Pass Core India on eneba ( 144 AUD )
    • VPN India on then change region to India to redeem
    • Buy 1 months Game Pass Ultimate India on eneba ( 13 AUD )
    • Redeem with VPN india
    • Done on 16 Mar 25, Expired on 16 Oct 26 : 19 months for 157 AUD ~ 8.3 Aud/ months.

Spent 2 hours to do !

It's Ok to do that if you have free time.

    • Did you have an account with Xbox/MS prior to doing this that was in Australia region? I tried with NordVPN and switching from AU->IN and it does not work. Microsoft say in this doc that it might be affected by region change within the last 3 months https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/account-billing/change-y…

        • I had an Xbox Ultimate account but expired.
        • I change region 4-5 times from AU to India, Singapore then AU again. But actually, i think just need to change to India region , when you done, back to AU region.
  • For the core passes I bought on Eneba I tried NordVPN and VyperVPN, first with IN region and then SG, all four permutations of vpn vs region did not work and I got the Incorrect region error in each attempt. I used Brave browser with cache on exit every time. Unsure where the issue is, could be Eneba sold a dud region as they appear to be a proxy seller for others, could be that this only works for new accounts / accounts that have not switched regions recently. Bit of a waste of time and money.
