    2x Whole Chickens for $25

Cheaper at Coles or Woolies. Only $24 for two…

    Also, they are not 'whole'…

    • +1

The chicken is better at Red Roster

      Also, they are not 'whole'

      Have you bought it before

      • Yes, they are not whole chickens…

        • maybe they hate you lol coz i got the whole chicken

          • -5

            @HolyCr4p:

            i got the whole chicken

            You're lucky then I guess…

I've never received the whole chicken.
The feet and head are always missing…

            • @jv: Do you get the head from coles and wollies ?

              • +1

@HolyCr4p: No, that is what I said in my first comment.

                We are getting mislead

            • +1

              @jv: and the giblets

    • Cheaper at Costco $13.98😜

      • +1

Except the Costco ones are awful…

Even our dog won't eat them…

        • +2

Idk what’s the hype about Costco chicken. Taste like cardboard to me. Not the good cardboard too

          • @michaelTito: skin tastes great but the rest is very average.

however, they are good for just meal-prepping rolls for a week for cheap.

            • +1

@TexasVujicic: Really? I tried one. Skin was soggy and chewy.
So much moisture/liquid in the bag.
Had to put it back in the oven.

Even then only so-so and defeated the purpose of buying a ready cooked chicken.

              • +1

@Tiggrrrrr: I think they steam cook them and not actually roast them…

The one and only time I got one, it was not cooked through properly either…

                • @jv: putting it in the plastic bag doesnt help at all.

    • I prefer their chicken to actual whole chicken.
I would not want head and feet on my dining table.

      • I would not want head and feet on my dining table.

        Why not?

  • Is it any better than the chicken from Coles/Woolies?

    • Depends on the store….

  • +3

i'd stopped going to Red Rooster as the chickens got so damn small.

jokingly now call it Red Quail

i'll give them another chance with this deal tho.

    • +1

Better of just going to the supermarket. cheaper and better quality and some chooks are probably twice the size. My last one from Woolies was huge.

    • On behalf of the dead chickens of Red Rooster - we extend our sincerest apologise for not growing to a size that was suitable for your consumption.

      • Such a vegan comment

        • I'm not vegan actually!

  • +2

Costco's $7 per bird is pretty decent.

    • yeah but I don't like the taste though and smells weird too
      I prefer woolies chicken instead

      • Smells weird and also tastes weird.

    • +2

But you walk out spending $314 after buying alll the other crap you had no intention on buying.

after buying alll the other crap you had no intention on buying.

Yep, I bought half a dozen of these because they were half price…

Wife got annoyed because we had no room left in the pantry to store them…

  • Will this show up if making a new account?

  • +1

my apps not showing this deal. I just created the account, possibly this is why ?

    • I thought I had the same issue as you. But what's missing in the instructions above is that you actually have to go into the "Red Royalty" tab at the bottom of the app (not the front 'Home' page) to see the offer!

  • Sucks you can't get these delivered… They did this exact deal a long time ago and back then they allowed delivery.
Seems there's no good coupons for delivery right now… all in-store :(

  • I don't get it, why is it called Red Rooster if they serve hens and not roosters?
