Lol, so this is not a bargain … Nothing as changed as before

45% NTSC is just ok for the price. Rest of specs look good, good warranty. But if price is not reduced then where is the deal?

    • Not a fan of the resolution either, 16" 1080p is meh.

I agree its not a huge deal when i got a much better specced Ideapad (7735hs, 32gb ram, 1tb ssd, better screen) for similar price last year

      • It's 1200, not 1080p. 16:10.

        • yeah "1080p" but taller - same issue with sharpness

    • Using a 14" version of one of these screens right now…
Terrible. the real low light of this machine.

Lenovo have to get this act together on displays. They don't have to be stunning, just not complete dogwater.
Bump up the basic spec just a little…
Keep the 1200p res, not a huge fan, but fine for a budget offering.
Bump up the max brightness just a little.
Do something to bump the contrast a bit.
Deal with the terribly small colour range, again, nothing huge, just make it not horrible.

In addition, maybe start offering decent options on the budget model thinkpads.
Say, an extra $100 for a decent 1600p IPS, 90Hz+ with nice colour and contrast.

      • IBM were putting in garbage displays well before Lenovo took over. I'm grateful that Lenovo offers more expensive models with good displays.

    I still have my old T61 😅

Old? The T61 shouldn't be released until 2082, are you a time traveller?
