I had this error and what I did was deleted my browsing history from today and retried using the link in the email and it worked. Interestingly, it wouldn't work using the link in OzBargain after clearing my browsing hidtory. I also did it on mobile on 4G/5G, but I don't know if that made any difference. If you do not have the email, download the Latitude app and you should see the offer in the "offers" tab.

Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum quantity of 1 allowed for this product

Might be a repeat offer, but I don't remember.

    • Got the same message

    • +1

When they say 1 offer per customer they really mean:
      - 1 activation the offer per email address
      - one $15 credit or free Prime trial per Amazon account

      Source

You might have claimed this offer from CBA/Westpac previously

    • +1

I got that message too… BUT then I remembered I had a second cardholder on the account - so I tried that card and it worked.

So if you've got two cards linked, you should be able to get $30.

      • is the $30 from 2 different amazon account ?

  • +2

thanks for the post. had to retrieve the email from the bin.

  • WestPac are also offering this

  • +1

Mine takes me to a page not found
    [ mastercard -Amazon offer)

And the other offers are in Singapore

Do have an offer of spend $75 @ Ampol by 21August to get $10 back on my 28 Degree card.

    • Do have an offer of spend $75 @ Ampol by 21August to get $10 back on my 28 Degree card.

      Yes

Get $10 cashback when you spend $75 or more at Ampol participating locations.

I am not getting the error you mention either. It takes me straight to the Elevate - Check eligibility page.

      • +1

Ok tried again with your direct link on a different browser and it worked.

Now have $15 giftcard on my Amazon account.
        :)

  • Sadly doesn't seem to work for the DJ Latitude card.

    • Don't think DJs will like you shopping with Amazon with their card.

  • +2

Already with Prime, got $15 instead.

  • +6

Not sure why 28 Degrees card holders are a dying breed here on OzBargain. There was a time you had to have one to be called an OzBargainer. I know they stopped offering the great value features like price protection to new applicants, but I would have thought that there were still thousands of legacy users.

    • +6

I’m a legacy user but never get these emails

    • +9

Probably when latitude dropped the ball and got hacked leaking ID of customers. Also my card got used in some fraudulent transactions even though the only thing I used the 28 degrees card was for Indian YouTube premium. If I gotta guess who got hacked between latitude and google I'd pick latitude everyday of the week. And no I did not lose my card it's gathering dust in my draw. Their fraud team was unsympathetic and only returned a partial amount. They changed their tune when I went to the relevant ombudsmen

    • Late last year I got a call from someone who claimed to be a debt collector. They said a buy now pay later loan had been taken out in my name using an address where I previously lived.
I cancelled my 28 degrees card over 5 years ago but they were still holding my driver's licence details when the leak happened.
I complained to latitude and they reimbursed my cost for a new licence card.
Tbh I feel like there hasn't been nearly enough consequences for them for compromising ID details of millions of people.

        @floorpie
yep because we as human dont work as one.
look at the optus breach. i know so many that say oh well i stay with them its already done what can you do.
that is WRONG. it is PURE LAZINESS
ALL optus customers must get together and ports out. leave OPTUS as little as 1% of customers compare with before breach - they will fold. a company without customer.

THAT will make a headline. and TEACH other companies that WE CUSTOMERS can make a company suffer if they dont look after US.
why we have to do this? because gov does nothing…

    • +1

I cancelled mine when they dropped the free overseas ATM cash withdrawals.
Switched to Bankwest for fee free foreign transactions and free travel insurance.
About to cancel Bankwest now as they've dropped the travel insurance, so considered opening a 28 degrees account again, but ended up with Bendigo to keep the free travel insurance.

    • With the new $8/month fee on the global platinum, my guess is that even more will leave

      • As long as you find another card that is foreign transaction/travel friendly?

        I won't be so long as i got the 28d shopper's protection.

  • +7

Mastercard said my 28Deg card was all good, but then went to sign in at Amazon and received the following:

    "Activation failed

This account is not eligible for this offer"

    • +1

This is the same for me

      • +1

        me three

but i have an email from them.

    • got $15 as existing prime member with 28d

    • Same here, getting rolled

    • +1

Same. Very simply, those who have already had the $15 applied previously aren't eligible, Amazon rejects it (not mastercard)

  • I got mine thanks

  • Got $15 Amazon GC.
    Thanks OP.

  • +1

    Got a $15 credit, thanks!

  • +1

Tried my card, said already redeemed. Tried my husband's card and keep getting error page blehhhh

    • Try a different email address. It doesn’t need to be your Amazon email address.

      • Both got unexpected error when I tried new emails

        • That’s annoying. It worked on mine when I changed email address.

  • I have a Go Lattitude card and got the $15. Just about to cancel the card as it now has a monthly fee regardless of balance whereas it was fee free when there was no balance on it.

    • A monthly fee for a $0 balance? That is pretty crap. What is it? A monthly account-keeping fee or something?

Edit: ahh one of those HN cards. I see

$10.95 monthly account service fee (subject to change)

      • Yes. Old Harvey Norman one. Was great to have in the drawer and use when they had great prices on TVs and bonus gift cards for interest free (like the recent LG TV one). On balance, may still be worth keeping, even with the $131.40 annual fee. Hmmmmmm…….

    • I own a Go Latitude card since 2020 and Ive never been charged a monthly fee for no balance on my account.

      • Yes the 28 degrees/latitude MasterCard was few free too (also no fee if the balance is zero with the shoppers protection).

A card fee of $8 per month wil be introduced. You will see this fee being charged on your first statement from 17 September 2024.
        Interest

Yes Ive got the original statement from their website.

          • @Blok: Fee free was good while it lasted.
When I first signed up there weren't even ATM withdrawal fees, and something else ..

            • @G-rig: Yes they used to be good but I just jumped on to the NAB fee free cards.

              • @Blok: Yes my Citibank visa debit was great too, but has changed to NAB. Not exactly free free but yet to test overseas.

      • -1

        Good news.

  • Got this email and redeemed using my 28 Degrees card no problem. Free money is good money!

  • +1

Thanks OP, $15 GC collected using my 28 Degrees card.

  • +2

Didn't work for my 28 Degrees card.

    • Same here

Tried numerous browsers and numerous mobile devices

  • said "you exceeded maximum number of product (1) " - looks like claimed it before

  • Use an old membership email and get 3 months free now. Better value with membership rather than $15

    • I'd rather get the $15 and get free stuff from Amazon. Prime just makes you buy stuff from Amazon and they the last ppl I wanna give my money too

      • I would prefer Prime - free monthly games are definitely worth it with Prime Gaming alone (especially if you have a Steam Deck), then tack on Amazon Music and Prime Video (even though they just started up with ads) and expedited delivery (I am impatient)

        • True. It's a good deal either way but still bitter about my experience with Amazon when they out right lied to me on 3 occasions and delayed my delivery by a month from the supposed delivery date and only delivered the item when I contacted fair trading.

      • Prime video is actually decent. I just rewatched battlestar galactica on it (albeit with vpn to us). There are quite a few classic shows and their superhero franchise.

  • +1

    Thanks boss
Worked fine. Did get the email.

For some reason going through safari on phone gave error on verification.

    Going via chrome worked fine.

  • +1

    Worked for me.

    Good stuff, thanks.

  • -1

got 2 cards for 2 accounts

  • 3 months free.. thanks op

  • Does anyone know how long the card must be linked to the Amazon account? I.e. can I just change my payment method now to 28 degrees, receive the $15 and revert preferred payment method back to my Amex.

    • You can have multiple CCs linked to your Amazon account. And choose which you want to make your default. 28Deg doesn't need to be your default payment method.

  • +1

Get this account is not eligible for this offer :(

It says my card is accepted but when I log into amazon I get that error.

  • Is there a way to somehow sign up to these offers? I've had my 28 Degrees card for 12 years and never receive anything like this. Never received an e-mail from [email protected].

    • +1

Do you have them in your "Offers" section in the Latitude app?

      • +1

Interesting, I never even noticed that section of the app before. This offer is showing up there for me, thanks :-)

        • +1

You probably at some point in time unsubscribed from marketing emails. Or have it toggled off on the web (not app).

      • I did it from the app, same error

        • Same, did from the app, deleted browsing data, same error, no explanation what is wrong.

        • Use the the email address in the link at bottom. I had the same issue but fixed it myself after I sent them an email. They responded within a few hours to say they checked and could see I had already accepted it. I'm sure they could have fixed it for me.

          • @Lucille Bluth: It worked this morning.

Maybe the Mastercard servers were just acting funny.

I'll activate it on the 17th August when my free trial ends

  • -2

" If you do not have the email, download the Latitude app" Why?? No email and don't want a useless app! Presume this is Oz Prime and yes I have that, have 28 degrees Disastercard also!

    • +2

" If you do not have the email, download the Latitude app" Why?? No email and don't want a useless app

Well then don't bother if it's too hard for you and you don't want something for free from 30 seconds work? Just trying to be helpful. People above didn't get the email, but have the offer in the appmore proof … sheesh.

      • +1

I also do not get their point.
        It's a bit of a head scratcher.

      • +1

I didn't get the email either, and don't have the app.
I just went through the link that OP posted and I got my $15.
Thanks OP, it worked for me.
PS OP, thanks for all your helpful comments in this thread.

  • Doesnt work as I have already claimed it on my CBA Mastercard.

  • Thanks for the post then….. but not for the waspish tone in the reply, like I said "why" do I want the app when I already have both items??

    • +1

"why" do I want the app when I already have both items??

Because you need to activate the offer with a link in order to verify you are eligible for the offer. If you didn't receive the email, you would not be able to check. The app is an alternative way to accept this offer.

If you aren't getting the email you either unsubscribed from promo emails previously, or have turned off consent to receive these emails. This is a MasterCard promotion and it goes through their webportal in order to check your 28Deg card is eligible, and whether you are eligible for 3 months prime or $15 in GCs through the linking process.

  • It went to the last page and told me "This account is not eligible for this offer". I am using an existing Amazon account.

    • +1

You likely accepted a previous similar MasterCard offer. Either through Latitude or an alternative bank's CC for a similar promotion. Some comments said that above. You can try a different Amazon account, if you want to create one. At least you will get 3 months free. If you already have Prime, gift the account to someone who doesn't have Prime.

  • For those who are having errors, you got to try about 5 different internet browsers, as it might be the internet browser that it doesn't work. Or could be just a poor referral link in email. That's my experience with 28Deg Mastercard, their offers are hit and miss.

  • Thank you worked for me. Did it through iPhone safari browser fine

  • +1

Thanks OP. I never read those emails!

  • +1

    thanks, it worked

  • Worked for me. $15 gift card. Yum!

  • +1

My current prime trial ends 12 August. Will be interested to see if I'm offered 3-months prime if I do this once the current prime ends.

  • I got the error message "Something went wrong" and contacted support at the 1800 number given. I called and the first time and they connected me to latitude financial who hanged up on me with the error message "there has been an error and this call will be terminated". The second time I didn't have to repeat the details as I got the same CSR who this time called and waited on hold on my behalf. They gave me a callback a few minutes later and now I'm waiting to see the resolution to this. Wish me luck!

    • Finally got off the phone to find out since I redeemed it once before in a previous offer that I'm excluded.

      Boo!

  • thanks, didnt get the email but it worked for me anyway so i got the $15 giftcard!

  • For those who got $15 gift card, do you guys use the same Amazon account? Mine is showing not eligible for this offer.

    • have you claimed similar offer with that account?

      • Yes, Maybe 3 or 4 years back.

  • Thanks Op, redeemed ($15).
