    Targeted offer?

My 'Offers' section in the app never shows anything.

Edit: tried a few different stores and still the same.

  • Looks like targeted

    • +1

I believe a subway membership is required and only available at participating restaurants

      • +1

Noting the membership is just having a subcard in-app, no paid membership required

  • i managed to receive the offer somehow, thanks op

  • +1

Thanks! I checked and I’ve received this email and it’s in my app

  • Thanks OP. I have got it in my app.

  • Got it in my app… mmmm

  • Nice got it in mine. Lunch sorted

  • Got it, cheers (Kewdale WA)

  • +2

note it only works with 1 item

  • Participating Subway Restaurants

It's included in the title for a reason.

  • Thanks OP, just checked my app and it's there.

No deal. The bread here doesn’t have azodicarbonamide in it so it’s not worth it 😁

  • +3

Lol 30% off and still not a bargain

  • +3

It's in my app, tells me to add sub to checkout first, now the -30% appears in checkout but says "Not Applied" for any sub order I add.

I've tried different subs, no meals etc. Nothing worse than a barely worthwhile deal that ends up a waste of time.

Edit: Must have something to do with the store, changed it to test and then worked. Problem with the app is my closest store was missing, the second closest is the one that appears to not work.

    Subway sucks big time.

    • +1

Yep had the offer and it didn’t work at all for me. Couldn’t figure out how to add it - I have successfully used offers in the past

  • +6

    nothing on my app.

I reckon Subway is the stingiest fast food place when it comes to offers.

  • Thanks, I refreshed ozbargain on my walk to Subway, saw this deal, signed up to the Subway app and redeemed the offer via the qr code. Perfect timing.

Subway's fall off should be studied.

Used to be my favourite takeaway by far, and would get it 3-5 times a week.

Price went up significantly around COVID, and quality plummeted so I stopped getting it at all.

I got this deal, so today was the first time in about 3 years I've eaten Subway. Still overpriced even after discount.

Had to wait 20 minutes to pick up, only to go to store and find out my sandwich wasn't even made.

Bread wasn't cut through near the centre so the lid was thin. Cheese was toasted onto the bread lid so stuck to roof of my mouth and couldn't taste it (usually they put it on top of the chicken). Chicken fillet was maybe 9.5 inch worth on a 12 inch sub. Added beetroot, only 4 stingy tiny bits ($1.50 down the drain). Tomato was green. Asked for double salt and pepper, and had to tell him to keep going 3 times before I was happy.

Sandwich was edible but nothing like it once was. Definitely didn't win me back. Nearly every other chain takeaway is better value.

OMG, this was almost my experience.

Online order, worked while waiting for about 25 mins, then I walked to the store.

My order wasn't even made yet, and they cleared most of the instore customers first!
People who arrived after I did got their subs made before mine.

I had to wait about 15 mins, so all up from time of order, it took them 40 minutes to complete the order, probably won't be going back.

Do not agree. Subway is the only place that'd fill me up (footlong) in a healthy way for less than $10 even when prices skyrocketed while covid so it is still my go to. Name a healthy restaurant that is more value? I know they are stingy when it comes to getting double veges and offers and so on. Gyg and zambrero are much more expensive for a filling meal

      • +1

Hate to break it to you mate, but the kJ content of almost every Subway sub is barely healthier than 'dirty' takeaway joint items. You fell for marketing and the idea that the salads on your sandwich make it better for you. The proteins, the bread and the sauces are bad for you no matter how much salad you stack on.

It used to taste good. That was the reason I ate it.

        • Then the question is name a healthier restaurant? If it were just the taste might as well gone for maccas or cheaper fast food to fill yourself up

      • How are you getting footlongs for <$10? The cheapest 6 inch subs are $6 now.

        • Right but footlongs don't have a minimum price and are usually cheaper than double the 6 inch price. You have to price check the stores around you really. Around 10% of the stores have below $10 may be

          • @sub102: That's so lame. Subway isn't worth that kinda effort.

            • @star-ggg: You can check prices online worth the effort. Found $9 footlong nearby and $8.50 in Melbourne

              • -1

@sub102: It's not worth the effort because Subway is just another fast food option. I get fast food when I'm out and want something quick and familiar. Even if I did make the effort, $9 is not a great price point. For a few dollars more I'm hitting lunch special prices which give me a lot more attractive options.

    • +3

Yeah I remember when you could get buy one get one free with a drink on a coupon and a footlong meatball was $7. Now almost double the price and haven't seen that deal in years.

      • I had a close friend working as the 2IC at my old local. She used to give me any sub for the cheapest price, then give me staff discount on top of it. Used to pay like $3.50 a footlong (2006-2011 she worked there). Was ace.

At this price worth it. Normal prices, not worth it…. Unfortunately they all set their own prices so it depends of course.

Wish they were relatively consistent over their restaurants like most take aways… How ridiculous that they all have different prices ( sometimes difference can be like $4) and can choose whether to honour the special deals….. Seriously stupid franchise idea.

No wonder subway is going under… They have very little control over their restaurants….

I'm lazy with a chronic illness, so ok, but if you aren't lazy or sick like me, just make your own!

    • Subway definitely isn't going under…

      • +1

Maybe not technically going under but they have had many closures lately.

    • +1

For this price, it makes me consider it but it's not attractive enough for me to definitely get it.

  • How does an app-order work? Usually they make it as you line up and order right?

So do you push to the front of the queue and go straight to the register and say you have an app order? Or do you line up and say you have an app order? Is it premade for you or do you have to wait will they make it anyway?

    • +1

You can schedule the pickup to be at a certain time, then just wait for the customer who is currently being served to finish or for a gap in the line (ie. sandwich artists are busy making the subs with the customer and there is no one at the register) and go to the register and them you have a pick up for <your name>

  • +4

How can subway copyright infringe over a picture of a sandwich?

Can we just make a subway sandwich ourselves and use that as the picture?

  • Gave me bit of discount, not 30%

    • I know aye! I loved 50% off on international sub day a while ago

  • +1

For those complaining about waiting, just line up as normal and scan the QR code at checkout for 30% discount, no need to order via app.

  • Mackay a joke never heard of it

  • Only 1 sub get 30% off. Did anyone try to redeem it multiple times?

    • T&C above: Single use only.
Offer disappeared from app after 1 ordered.
      Luckily have another account😉

  • It says Offer available until 01/08/2024 11:59pm AEST at participating restaurants under my offer

  • Thanks, ordered ahead for pickup tomorrow.
    (my offer finishes tonight)
