      1. A fine year. Peak C64
        1. A fine year.

I must disagree. The death of Harald Bluetooth was a terrible blow. I wish I could have warned him more about all that conversion to Christianity stuff he was so keen on…

No such thing as a Sony VHS player from 1985. Sony didn't start making them until 1988. Before that was Betamax only.

  • Guys, I'm after a DV player. Where can get one for a reasonable price? TIA

    • probably cheapest to use an old DV camera with composite video out

    • But make sure you use FireWire and suitable old-school application if your trying to make a copy of the footage to retain full original quality

Little bit of hawk tuah does the trick

Dude that joke is so last week.

      • Cowabunga dude!

I use a clean crisp piece of paper between head and tape and works fine.

  • Amaylzing deal

  • I'd be willing to take it off your hands, for free

  • Bring back the 3.4" floppy disc with 1.5 mb of storage space.

    • +1

1.5mb? Would have loved the that extra 60kb of storage back in the day.

    • 1.44mb formatted.

      • +2

        iirc it was 1.38MB formatted.

    • +2

5.25" floppy diskettes. Then you whole punch the side to make it double sided.

    • I was about to correct you, because I've only ever seen them called 3.5" disks… but you're technically correct about the physical disk size.

I somehow went through the entire 80s and 90s without actually realising this. If I'd measured my floppy, I'd have realised it was actually smaller than I thought.

      • +1

Sorry to boast, but I've got an 8"… in the original box that is.

I've been waiting for this to go on sale since 1992. Thanks OP!

    • 1992 a good year, same year as the release of my favourite movie. Pop that VHS tape of Death Becomes Her into your newly serviced machine!

    ..you started to run
    but you didn't get far
    'cause under your arm
    was a VCR!

  • +1

    Great for dirty movies!

    • +1

So you like clean them first. Yeah?

  • +4

For those who are laughing, there are a lot of old movies that have never been released on DVD or any digital format. Therefore a VCR is the only way to watch them.

    Great gift for the grandchildren

  • -1

    Boring

  • +2

Damn, I missed out this offer 30years ago.

    • So?

  • Is this the same as poppers that you sniff to get a buzz

    • +1

You can do that with the thick markers. We use to get a buzz when i was studying sign writting back in the day.

      • Thanks for the tip, markers are cheaper

      • studying sign writting

Did you pass? Let me guess…

        • +1

Hrhrhr very funny. Fat fingers. And yes i passed. Was one of those community college thing centrelink sent me when i was on the dole.

  • 1990s incoming….

  • Any deal on cleaning kits for Rotary Dial Telephones?

  • Perfect for my Michael Jordan: Come Fly With Me VHS tape

  • Thought this deal may be so popular because the cleaning fluid might be amyl nitrite :P
