Nice price for these frequently recommended tent stakes. Andrew Skurka vouches for them.

Ive heard on reddit and from facebook ground that amazon is plague with counterfeit ground hogs.
Wise to perhaps weight, examine and compare the ones you receive and your tried and tested ground hogs to be sure.
MSR Groundhogs are great Tent Stakes, but do yourself a favour, purchase them from an Aussie b & m store, to be sure of getting brand new and genuine products.
Thanks for the heads up — I just noticed some of the Amazon reviews of people that seem to have received counterfeit stakes. Fortunately the ones I received a few months ago seem to be legit (the packaging was as expected, the stakes had the right etchings, the pull cord was the right type), but good to know you should double check.
they're overpriced aluminium star pickets, what difference between fake & real ones?? But it's Amazon, if they're crap you return them.
you can get proper steel ones for a few dollars each, whack a coke can on top so the kids don't gouge themselves.
These are the Frank Green of the camping world.
i own a bunch of copies. they are perfectly fine. couldnt imagine spending $26 for 6 stakes.
Yeah honestly pegs are pegs.
The Nemo or Sea to Summit ones are nearly identical and usually cheaper.
Or just buy some Chinese ones.
I've got 40-50 pegs of different types, never really had an issue with any of them except for the titanium "nail" type pegs which the eyelets could break.
My favourite are titanium V stakes. Bite most ground well, work in sandy soils well enough.
For winter I still recommend the MSR snow stakes or the snow "bag" style, but they are probably stupid expensive now.
I've bought these before they are excellent, but my friends daughter stepped on one in the dark.. Man they mess up a foot real bad
