  I believe it's marked as refurb/used because it's an open box, despite the fact that the item is labelled as new by the seller (and is confirmed as such by a buyer's review on the item page).

These are demo devices but brand new sealed.. not sure how many they have gotten. I brought 15 Pro Max and returned as it is demo device and quick Google reviews have not recommended
