    Where is the $14? The link says $15 but that is not for the energy monitoring version.

    I have 4 of these Meross plugs and would not recommend them to anyone. Apart from being bulky, so nothing can fit next to them, 3 of my 4 failed within 12 months.

    In the Ozbargain thread suggestions are for TP-Link Tapo P110M at <$20 (cheaper for two). These are the energy monitoring Matter versions. As yet the energy monitoring does not work in Home Assistant but I am sure that will be solved soon. The non Matter versions do work in HA.

    Edit: I see Impoze posted a link about the likely reason for the Meross failures. If that is fixed I still would not buy again due to their bulky size.

    Thanks for pointing to this post. I just received a replacement one. I don't have the packaging. The only difference I could see on the outside of the unit were the torx screws instead of phillips head. Opened it up and the capacitor looked identical to the green one that blew in the early model. (Homekit version though).
