Good Prices, close to the Samsung Education expired deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/853098)

Can get down to $217.83 using the Amazon $10 Gift Card Bonus (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/856197).

I'll personally wait to see if there are any good 4tb deals (without heatsink).

  • Will we ever see a 4TB around this price again?

I don’t think 4TB Samsung 990 pro has ever been this price?

      • I picked up one from Amazon for $410.68 April last year. Working nicely in my X1 Carbon.

Sorry, I meant in general for 4TB NVME. I wish we could get the $229 PNY deal back.

        • Mate, I posted a $299 Lexar 4tb m.2.
          Check it out, still live.

Not a great drive but you can get this one under $300 using the coupon on the page

      https://www.centrecom.com.au/kingston-snv2s-4tb-nv2-pcie-40-…

It would be good as a secondary drive or to stick in an enclosure.

Lexar NM790 4tb was close. $299 with a free gaming headset worth around $60 last Black Friday.

      • It's still $299 as per my post.

        • Not with free gaming headset.

  • Pull the trigger now, or wait for Prime Day?

    • +4

Totally just my opinion I don't know, but I would wait…

    • I think this deal will be gone for Prime Day, but they'll probably put others SSD / Nvme on sale, so if you wanted a 990 Pro, I think you should go for it now, or if you don't mind the brand/model can wait a couple of days

    • Probably not gonna go lower. If you want the 990pro,buy now. If not fussed, then wait.

You can get the Lexar for $299.

Would love to see a deal on 4TB SATA SSD of Samsung.

  • Any warranty?

It's amazon and samsung, so beware.

From my personal experience with 980 pro:
      1. Amazon AU will not help, b/c you bought it from overseas.
      2. Samsung Australia will not touch it with a 10m pole and send you off to Samsung Germany (they verify that by asking the S/N and seeing it's from overseas)
      3. Samsung Germany, if it's same as Samsung USA and AU, will require you to open RMA with them and ship it to Germany for diagnostics and repair/replacement.
      4. You will pay 2-way shipping to their facility, so check the costs of that before you purchase.

      • Shouldnt Amazon be supporting warranties for atleast 2 years under ACL stuff?

        • You're not buying from Amazon AU though, if purchased & shipped from US/EU/JP, therefore not covered under ACL.

          • @xuqi: I remember people here posting they successfully got thier US/EU stuff replaced as you are paying AmazonAU and buying from thier site.

            • @John Doh: Which”stuff”?
I have spent considerable time bouncing between AmazonAU and Samsung and no, there were no exceptions made for me. The order is with Amazon USA if it’s ordered and shipped from them 🤷‍♂️ (regardless of how they happen to display it on current version of Amazon.com.au)

  • but I want it tomorrow and with AU warranty?

    • 990 pro $265 on Samsung Australia secret sale or $272 for 990 pro with heatsink

    • SK Hynix P41

  • gonna hold off and wait for amazon australia equivalents, maybe that day will never come

  • what about the kingston kc3000 with longer tbw?
