Confirming this works. Bought $200 gc, got benefit confirm email.
Have now spent benefit on a new can opener.

  • +17

based on my recent experience with the $15 promo for netflix, I would not recommend. I had to spend 40 mins on the phone getting this credit while the amazon customer service rep tried all sorts of techniques to avoid applying this to my account

    • +1

Didn't send to my email, but worked via text. If this was your problem and you didn't try that.

This deal seems to be unavailable to me anyway.

    • +1

I bought the Netflix $100 GC and received an email stating that the $15 promo credit is now applied to my account. So far so good.

    • +1

thanks .. I didnt realize , the credit didnt come into my account.

  • +1

    Promo code can’t be applied

    • Try again

    • +1

If you clicked through the link above it may say can't be applied because it's automatically done it, you can see if the promo is there on the payment page right hand side.

      • Thanks, it worked the 2nd time.

    @mapax - guaranteed future content

  • +2

Confirmed worked for me and I got the confirmation email like above. Also as above said the banner says 14th July.
If you click the link on the post you can't add the code. It is automatically on your account (also as said above :) )

    • +3

Can confirm it works. No code needed if you click the link.

  • +1 worked for me just now by following the link.

  • How does it work? Do you actually see the credit in your account before checking out? How do you know if you’re one of the first 6000 before paying?

    • +1

You'll see a "Qualifying offers: GC Prime day offer" message on the right hand side of the checkout page, under the order total amount.

    • on the link, if you see you are eligible, then just purchase 200 gc, then all set

as for how does this work in the background, not sure. this could be technically implemented in so many ways

i guess when you land on the page, then you hold 1 out of 6000 entities already, and if you purchase within certain time frame, let's say 10 mins, then this promotion is claimed, otherwise it will be released again

    • Bought the gift card, then add a randomly item to the cart and you will see $10 off there.

  • -1

    Hello,

We have canceled your gift card order at your request.

    • Yeah I got this too but the email address [email protected] sounded a bit like a scam, but maybe it's not.

      • at least the domain isnt sketchy

      • Worked for me on second attempt when I tried today, no idea what caused the initial issue

  • got mine too

  • Already worked!

  • +1

    got mine

also the Benefit Confirmation email arrived right after the purchase

  • Got the benefit confirmation email but credit not applied yet, been about 10 mins. Anyone?

    • +2

it's a promotion applied automatically to your next order. try it out.

      • Ah I see, great thanks

  • Confirmed it’s working, got the benefit email

    Thanks OP

Used to be $10 for $150, now $10 for $200, and all these upvotes , what's next $10 for $300? Sorry to neg but no deal.

    • +4

      Don't forget $20 for $500 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/854298

      • +1

Only makes sense if you plan on buying something for $500, and it's already a good deal. I guess every little bit helps but it's a bit crazy down payment for little "gain"

        • +3

I tend to keep a bit of a gift card balance. Occasionally, there are superb deals which aren't going to last long, which I could possibly miss if I had to fumble around trying to buy a gift card for the deal.

          • @Awesomandy: Not taking this one up as my balance is still over $500 from the last deal. I'm hoping I can offload some of that balance this week when Prime Day kicks off…

    • Was $20 from memory when Amazon was losing money.

    • +4

Yeah, this is a thread about people scrambling to save…5% buy locking cash into gift cards.

This forum is called OzBargain last I checked, and not OzDesperate.

      This is just lame.

    • Please tell me where to get a better deal than this. Time won't go backwards, unfortunately.

  • Worked as per other comments code doesn't "work" as was automatically applied via link. Have got both with 10mins of purchasing.
    Thanks OP

  • Got it, thanks.

  • Done thanks.

  • +4

Amazon do not honour bonus credit. Ordered Netflix gift card during last promo and no bonus credit given. Avoid.

  • Got confirmation too

  • +4

Got gc and confirmation of bonus within 5minutes, also great pickup on the deal working already even before midnight.

Unfortunate you are suffering the fallout of the previous netflix gc deal, Amazon really dropped the ball on that one.

For those that are on the fence about ordering before midnight and want to buy the GC before they go to sleep, at checkout just before payment (under the order summary) you will see the below Order Summary details if the promo has been applied successfully (just click the "Go to Deal" link above and it should auto apply the promo even without you having to enter "GCPRIME24".)

    Order Summary
    Items: $200.00
    Delivery: $0.00
    Order Total: $200.00

    Qualifying offers:
    GC Prime day offer

Note: Trying to enter "GCPRIME24" AFTER clicking through "Go to Deal" will likely result in the following error message: "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase."

  • +4

Error - The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.

    • +1

Check on right hand side at bottom (browser window) : says GC offer applied

      GC Prime day offer

      • What about the app?

        • +1

Went back to the deal page, and there was a green banner saying my order qualified. Didn’t need the code

      • I get no such message, though I see the offer unlocked bar

        • It still worked though

  • +2

5% bonus credit is the norm now. Once Amazon makes money, Amazon won't look back lol.

  • quick and easy, bout 10 min all up

  • does it work if I buy 2x$100 in one transaction?

    • Yes. Any combination of $200 or more in one transaction.

  • Got the banner and fulfilled requirements but didn't get the promo code. Order confirmation email also didn't have the text about the promo code being given.

    • There’s no promo code for the $10 promotional credit

It’ll be in an email that states that a benefit confirmation has been added to your account

All you can do to check is add an item shipped and sold by Amazon AU

  • +10

Nothing exciting here, Just hype of prime day, these deals are rubbish, not sure why 150+ votes, even the 4k Max Stick prrimeday price is more than what have been in the past without primeday.

    Seems more like a prank-day.

    • +4

$2 cashback deals routinely make the front page. It’s dumb, but unsurprising, that this hits the top top of the page too

    • +1

      5% bonus for 200 whattajoke

  • Got the “ Benefit Confirmation for your Order” email after few mins of digital gift card delivery.

“ Thanks for purchasing $200 or more of Amazon.com.au Gift Cards. In accordance with the promotional terms, we have now automatically applied a $10 promotional credit to your account which will automatically be applied to your next purchase of eligible item(s) shipped and sold by Amazon AU.
The promotional credit must be used by 31 July 2025. This offer is subject to Terms and Conditions.”

  • "The promotion code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase" on my first application. Does that mean it ran out?

  • +2

Just redeemed using link. Didn’t need to apply promo code. Got the credit.

  • same.. recieved the error when I tried to apply the promo code.
but proceeded with the order anyways and got the benefit confirmation email within 5 minutes.

  • It was barely worth it at $10 for $150. Amazon shopping doesn't have much going for it nowadays.

  • but cashreward is doing 7% for kindle and I dont think that can be top up with gift card. [I am planning to buy a new kindle paperwhite]

  • The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.
    Change

    • Me too. Doesn't work somehow.

      • I went ahead and actually got the credit

  • Got this to work without putting in the code (which gives error)

Just click on the link and it will auto apply. You get your Gift Card and then the $10 bonus in the next purchase

    https://imgur.com/a/fd1n1yk

  • All good, couldn't see the 'promotional code applied' on the mobile site. Switched to desktop mode and there it was. 👍

  • +2

Promo code wasnt working so did a leap of faith after reading the comments

Got the benefit email shortly after checking out, phew!

    • +1

Can confirm this legend is right. I got an error even on the desktop while applying promo, still got my 10!

      • You got an error because it can't be applied to the same GC twice, it just doesn't give you the reason that it is already applied. It would have said at the bottom of the right column that the offer was applied. You might have followed a link that automatically applied it or applied the code to a previous gift card that you deleted before checking out.

  • +1

Code doesn't work, but as above $10 credit is given to you on next purchase.

Test tried it about 10min after purchase of $200 voucher, and there it was in transaction confirmation. Still working fine.

  • I didnt find any promotion code applied message but since I was going to be buying something worth above $200 anyway took the chance and yeah it credits you account few minutes later.

    Still working as now.

  • +1

Tried all of these and I always get an email later saying "We have canceled your gift card order at your request."

Any idea whats going on? 3 times in a row now with different offers.

  • Not working, may be sold out :(

  • Just did this now, worked flawlessly

    • "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase."
I picked a $200 gift card (Amazon.com.au eGift Card - Amazon Logo) and set the receiver's email to my own email and checkout. But it's not happy. What am I missing?

      • +1

Because it can't be applied twice. Assuming you're a prime member then it should say in the bottom of the right column that the offer is applied.

        • Thanks I see it now

  • works like a charm.

  • Does cash rewards stack with this to confirm?

    So I could end up saving $10 per $200 + 7%?

  • +1

The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.
    quota full already?
