What's The Best Way to Get Cheap Netflix, Now That Most Options Have Been Nerfed?

Hi all,

After seeing the numerous forum posts and deals regarding Netflix cracking down on VPN deals, is there a certified way that is the cheapest as of now? Or are most of you guys on different region plans, just hoping you don't get the boot?

I should mention I have access to a Turkish Apple ID if that helps.

I cancelled Netflix since they stopped sharing, and I don't miss it a bit. Yes they have some good content, but so do many other options that I can still share.

Pretty much every few days they beg me to come back, "best TL149.99 I'll spend", they shouldn't have cancelled me then! I don't miss it either, I should have cancelled sooner.

    • +1

Same. I realised that we open Netflix and scroll through it a lot, but we very rarely watched anything on there. Binge and Disney have loads better content, and we share them with my SIL.

    Yarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

    • How many ads do you get and how much cheaper?

      • +3

0 and $0 for me with Plex.

      • Really depends how you do it.

There can be upfront costs for hardware or software. There's also a time cost to learn how to set up certain apps.

        • Yeah. Once you've learned docker, have your compose files set up for plex, sonarr, radar, lidarr, prowlarr, overseer, qbit, sabnzbd, nzbhydra2, tautulli and wireguard u are all set to go.

          • @bohn: Or just download media on your laptop/phone and send it to a shared portable drive connected to a nvidia shield. Simples.

            Yarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I just use Netflix with ads and pay with discounted gift cards.

  • for the netflix with ultra HD package, anyone know if this means all (most) of the contents are actually delivered in 4k? or is this for selected movies/series only. Any ideas?

    • +2

      selected movies/series only.

      • Thanks mate

  • Works with gift cards
Buy them from for game or another site

    Try this https://getcheap.net/

They are good in their service. I have been using them for the last month and am happy with them, actually, you pay about $ 5 to 6 per month but you get 4K HD without advertisement. So that is thethe bonus.

Have you got the cheap Netflix or the Premium account?

    • +1

Seems too good to be true. What about the free one wouldn’t they do the job? It’s just not in HD…

      • +4

It is too good to be true. They’re stolen accounts and accounts created with stolen credit cards etc.

        Run by organised crime.

  • The price doesn't seem too bad if you only subscribe one month per year. I guess that doesn't work so well if you somehow manage to find more that you want to watch than you can manage in a month.

    Stremio

  • is plex/jellyfin an option?

There are some services which automatically scans and download specified series

  • +1

I think you can pay someone to use their plex server. maybe some people do it on reddit/telegram/discord

  • -2

im paying the full price after they canceled my turkey account.

    • +2

      That's not the ozbargain spirit

  • As mentioned above by some others, since being cancelled I am now paying for the cheaper tier with ads, but there are hardly any ads, mostly none, but I am not a super heavy user.

  • +3

Stremio, real debrid 30$ a year for pretty much everything. Goes down every now and again, I just revert to torrent. It's illegal like everything the tech companies do with our information and digital profile. The internet is not a place for morals or ethics..

    • +3

$30 a year is not correct?

Their 180 days plan is 16 Euro (approximately A$25.82, copied from their website).

So will be just over $50/year, unless there is a yearly plan???

      • -2

I'm paying in euros forgot how shit the Aussie dollar is 😆

  • I'm moving to the ads option, much cheaper and the kids account doesn't get ads.

Next step is streamio if we use Netflix enough that the ads interfere

  • AGL combo plan gives free Netflix with electricity!

Any idea how this works if I sign up and leave after a month? Does the Netflix stop working?

      • +1

        Obviously

  • Plex app on RaspberryPi with 128gb SD card (to download torrents) + Deluge App on phone (to initiate downloads on pi) + Plex app on TV (to stream) + wifi plug to turn off pi on/off demand = ❤️

I bought plex pass too, just because i was using it from last 10 years and felt like i need to pay respect to devs. Also i can now stream when not in home
And i do go to movies on every Monday (RACV $10 monday offer) to support content creators

  • +2

    Certified? By Ozb?

Binge watching was a fad, it's over. Time to get a life and live it.

  • +2

I simply cancelled, not enough content to justify the price hike. back to the high seas and plex.

  • flixvision and realdebrid :}

  • Any deals for Foxtel /s

  • I was about to let my Netflix Turkey sub expire as I have Stremio anyway, and when they renewal date was up, it successfully charged my 28d card… Now i feel it's such a waste if I cancel as i save a fair bit not buying GC. But cc's might be working again if that helps. Haven't been booted yet and don't use vpn.

    • If you use stremio what does Netflix provide that stremio doesn’t? Wouldn’t you save even more by not paying anything to Netflix?

      • My sister shares her Disney with me, so I share Netflix. And sometimes Stremio don't have links to some of the older Korean dramas

        • So if it’s an agreement with your sister to swap streaming services how come you were planning on breaking your agreement originally (as you said you were gonna let your Netflix expire). Then you would get free Disney and she would get nothing.

          • @illusion99: Because she also has some Plex subscription thing so she doesn't need my Netflix, it's just convenient. Like I don't need her Disney either but she subscribes to it as she says it's easier for her son. I'm on the lower end of this trade as I barely use her Disney anyway lol.

  • Touch wood but I still buy Turkish gc’s and add em while connected a vpn. I only do max 2 cards at a time incase they do decide to cancel my account.

  • Plex share.

  • Enlist on Pirate adventure

  • Subscribe to Turkey and pay with gift cards.

Said this in another thread about Netflix (and will say it again, even if it might not be a popular opinion) - but just stop watching shit content.

Whilst I do believe that movies and cinema are an art form (that's becoming increasingly lost, as producers chase "safe" box office success over genuinely creating art), TV shows have always been (for the most part) just garbage designed to get you hooked in.

Save your money and your time, and do something more productive instead. See a movie, read a book, go to a live comedy performance, spend time with your family, go out to a nice restaurant, go for a hike - just whatever it is that you find meaningful, and quit sitting in front of a TV watching meaningless drivel.

    • There are also more garbage cinema movies, garbage books, garbage comedy shows, garbage family members and garbage restaurants than good ones. Ppl make it sound like every single book or live show or restaurant is a masterpiece and automatically productive and guaranteed not to be a waste of time and money. Meaningless drivel is not just restricted to watching TV

      • Ppl make it sound like every single book or live show or restaurant is a masterpiece and automatically productive and guaranteed not to be a waste of time and money. Meaningless drivel is not just restricted to watching TV

If you actually read my post, I clearly state "just whatever it is that you find meaningful", so it's up to each individual to find what appeals to them and what they find worthy enough of investing their time into.

        • I find going out to restaurants meaningful so does that mean every single restaurant is great? No I have to pick and choose. Same as Netflix. You made a generalization that ALL TV shows on Netflix are drivel.

  • Is Stan as good and is it cheaper?

    Never investigated Stan…
