    I found a workaround for our drivers licences continually getting rejected at checkout for trade ins. My passport expired so couldn’t use the passport workaround, also detected as invalid.

    Samsung tried everything with me yesterday over the phone but said Asurian hadn't even responded to their own request for support.

    I tested a friend's Vic licence, the digits in his licence number are all grouped together as one and it read fine. But our Qld licences have 3 groups of 3 numbers spaced apart and Asurian's genius machine reads in the spaces and counts them as characters. Inevitably it sh**s its pants telling you your licence is invalid, but you have no way to edit out the spaces on the form.

    Simple solution, lightly edit the photo of your licence to move the numbers closer together and it will read straight away.

    I believe today is the last day to get the $200 unpacked bonus, so if you still want to give them any of your hard earned after this bulls**t then at least you can have a think about it during the day.

      you can right click on the licence number where is says not editable and click inspect then where it says disabled in the html replace it with enabled. hit enter. then remove the sapces or re enter the licence number without spaces. its expecting a number not a string with spaces. it will validate and you can click continue. That is what i did.

      • No I couldn't cancel the Buds on the website. It kept selecting all the items to cancel when I tried. Just contacted Samsung support on the Chat and it took about 5 mins.

    BTw accessories cancelation loophole still exists. Simply add two accessories let say Buds3 Pro and a cheap case or screen protector, place order. After you receive order confirmation email, go to Galaxy Shop App and simply cancel the expensive one i.e. Buds3 Pro and done. I did it last night, and ended up paying only $1,344 for Fold6 256GB plus $30 something for the front screen protector. Got a confirmation email as well for only Buds3 pro cancellation.

            @freeman: Keep trying different agent, I was able to get to one where he helped canceled just my buds 3.

            I got cancellation email straight away.

    • just placed an order for the flip 6 with the buds 3 pro and a screen protector, when i go to the cancellation process in the app, it says " Whoops. Something went wrong. Please contact our Customer Service Team on 1300 362 603. "

      • Keep trying. I was getting the same error. Make sure you are cancelling after receiving the order confirmation email

            @hubbske: Yes, click cancel on main order and then you get to choose which individual items to cancel, and the reason as well then scroll and click cancel again at the bottom.

            • @OZBsince2018: Thanks worked, note for everyone you need to make sure you cancel the bud case otherwise you will get the error.

    • I cancelled the 4 pack of SmartTags successfully, but I am not sure how the refund will work since I have already been charged the full amount. Cancellation confirmation has come through but no mention of the refund.

      I couldn't cancel the S Pen Case but that's fine I wanted to keep it anyway.

      • Got the credit note for cancelled order next day with refund expected to hit the credit card in 5 business days.

      • i ordered galaxy f6 256 + buds + case. cancelled the case, got confirmation of cancellation and order now shows new value. not sure how they will refund, paid in full via paypal so assuming they will refund it at some point….
        else paypal dispute!

      • contact them today, they won't be able to cancel galaxy bud 3 due to it is part of promotion in the order, whoever got it cancelled must be lucky

  • So I canclled the buds and got an updated price in my order. I just got notification from Samsung Aurison to update my payment details because they are issuing a refund to my trade in item.
    Sounds weird since I did not cancel the tradein item just the accessories….
    anyone else have any issue…

    • I received this : We recently attempted to process the refund of your Security Charge, but unfortunately it was declined. There are a variety of reasons for refunds to be declined by the issuing bank, including because the payment card has been cancelled or has expired.
      To receive your Security Charge refund, please update your payment details as soon as possible by following the steps below:
      Log in to the Trade-Up Portal using your Trade ID and email address.
      Click on “Update Refund Details”.
      Once your updated payment details have been submitted we will attempt to process the refund again. It may take up to 5 business days for the refund to appear in your account.
      I thought it was a scammer to ask me to update the credit card details.

      • Yeah thought so to but looks legit - they have the details of my previous trades…. they ask for a BSB which I am not going to give, but no cc option,
        I guess my concern is will this refund mess up my/our orders?

        • looks like even the part cancellation of order triggers a cancellation at Asurion end.
          As for BSB and Account details, you can select PayPal from the drop down menu as it will be safer than sharing the account details.

  • Asurion is a nightmare to get a response from and deal with. Doesn't seem worth the effort and stress to attempt this refund process

      I had a chat online with Samsung representative as I also cancelled my smarttag. I was able to cancel my smarttag, but what I know from online chat that smarttag has not been cancel, so according to them it will get deliver. But they reassure me to tell the courier that I don't want the smarttag, then I will get refund 3-5 business day. If I don't get refund, I have a saved conversation script to show to Samsung staff to prove it.
