      I apparently have a fake ID too! Their system must be flooded at the moment.

      BTW the Samsung Trade Up app also doesn't recognize my ID but it lets me manually enter in my details so I got a trade ID in the end.

      edit: the Trade Up app has been changed, the trade-in ID only works in store now.

      Same here, uploading fails half the time, and when it's successfully uploads, it says that the ID is invalid. Using the passport option instead worked for me.

    Is there any way to get a Galaxy Bus 3 Pro separately for a cheaper price? I could access to EDU and it's now around 279 on EDU. No trade in available and both codes don't work.

          You can place an order and if you find it cheaper on MP, return these within 14 days

    I didn't send trade in phone to them last time when pre order s24u. Phone value was $1, but value was more than $100. If I use same samsung account to buy this time, trade in another phone, can this work? Anyone in the same boat?

      They charge you the tradein amount on purchase. If you don't send your device, they keep it and charge $60 more.
      But, you keep the trade in bonuses

        My tradein device has small scratches. Not sure if they will drop value its from $320 to $40? If so can I get it back without paying extra assessment charge etc?

          No. They don't give it back. This is the biggest issue with asurion. If they reassess for a lower amount, you have no appeal, and it is final. It's in the terms and conditions. Not sure whether it would hold up in court. I just prefer not to send it back and run the risk.

        What happens if you send a device but it is in worse condition than specified? I have an old S8 that is broken, would I just have to pay the $5 or $60 if I send them that?

          Depends how broken. If it still qualifies for a tradein they'll refund a revised amount. If it doesn't qualify for a tradein they'll keep the deposit and charge the fee ($60) and send it back to you.

      Make sure to take a screenshot if the form and selections, and time stamps etc of when it was lodged. Last time there was no confirmation email and zero way to speak to samsung about the free gift.

      Mine randomly arrived 4 months later…. and i was surprised it actually came.

    Anyone else having issues trading in with the Samsung Shop app EDU store?

    If I create a new trade in ID - It always says my driver license is invalid in the photos.
    If I use a trade ID created on on the samsung site - it says invalid ID

    Can't win

          Don't use app anymore. You will see the trade-in option on samsung website click yes for trade-in when you buy any device.

            @viki8702: Now it's also doing the same thing on EDU portal on PC web browser for me.

            Always rejects any ID I upload during the trade in part at checkout saying it's invalid ID. Tried QLD license and passport.

            Got a call back from someone more senior at Samsung support and they said it's a known issue at the moment. Not sure if it's just EDU store, or just some people's trade ins.

            Guess we wait for now, unless someone finds a workaround.
            Could do with saving some money anyway

        There's definitely something wrong with their system and QLD licences. My friends couldn't do it either. I've also tried scanning mine with a flatbed scanner and cropping the images down and it's still invalid.

        My VIC friend had no issues.

          Yup I had issues with my QLD licence. Said invalid ID constantly. Was worried as the only other form of ID they take are Aus Passports and I've only got an NZ, tried the NZ one and it worked first time lol

    Trade in does not work. Tried two different trade in ID for a phone and a watch an keep getting "We couldn't process your request because the Trade ID you entered is invalid. Please check the Trade ID and try again."

    Typically samsung and asurion bullshit

      Ok tradeup app apparantly is no longer being used so codes generated from that wont work (according to the chat rep)
      Licence ID does not work when using the website but passport does. What a time consuming pain in the ass

    Ended up getting the Galaxy Watch 7 44mm LTE for $338 without trade in by adding the watch without a band (still got the free one) and used the old 20% off wearable code (starts with EBD-)

        Switch between the bands and click preorder quickly. This should add the watch without a band
