    lol discounted from day 1.

    • +6

Samsung best deals are always on day 1

    • Samsung have been doing this for years though at launch, I got my S22u similarly with a bunch of stuff (that I sold off)

  • +4

Buy a Fold6 for $900 more than what you should, and get a free $900 tablet.

    • +1

900 tablet that currently sells for 500 and has the same processor as the A35

  • +11

Samaung Education store has a better deal.
    20% off
    $450 Trade in Bonus
$200 Galaxy Ecosystem voucher automatically applied when you add an eligible accessory
$200 Discount Code for registration for unfold event.
Plus free 1 year Samsung Care+

    • I can't see any bonus for trade in on edu store

      • +2

Enter code UNFOLDAI in cart, $450 bonus will apply

        • Only getting $250 trade in bonus. Does the trade in device brand matter? (its a pixel 5).

          • @sphinxy: Ahh, $450 for the Fold and $250 for the Flip.

    • What about loyalty code?

      • Loyalty codes do not work on Education store. But you can avail additional 5% off via Galaxy Shop App if its your first order.

        • Unfortunately i used up 1st order so i wont get any discount.

        • +1

I just tested the unique loyalty code (Code starting with FF6) that was sent out via email and it works at the EDU Store.

EDIT: the loyalty code might just have been the pre-registration code.

          • @RichardL: Yes it also works in epp store. Yes samsung used to provide separate $100 code as loyalty code

          • +1

@RichardL: That not loyalty code its pre-registration code, so works on all online stores. But the loyalty coses that we get from chat reps do not work on Edu or EPP stores.

  • +1

I'll wait a year to buy them at half price.

    • +1

if history repeats, launch prices are (usually) best prices…

  • Why make the front screen LCD on the Flip6?

    • Save bttery. Flip hs been always sucks with battery i had one

      • But it ruins the night time experience.

  • With trade Fold 256GB goes down to $1772

  • +4

    Those prices are crazy

    • But iPhones are soooo expensive… Samsung “hold my beer”.

      • The iPhone 15 Pro Max is normal slab phone.

        512GB $2,549
        1TB $2,899

        • Yeah, so cheaper.

          • @EitherWayUp: You'd expect a normal slab phone to be cheaper. Much cheaper than those prices.

            • @eug: $400 is nothing to sneeze at plus the durability of these folds and flips is very questionable as many users have reported over the years. You have to be extremely careful when handling them.

              • @EitherWayUp: FWIW I attached my Fold5 to a bike mount. When I hit a bump while moving it flew out of my phone case and hit the asphalt sidewalk. There was an ugly dent on the edge, scratches on the hinge, a small crack on the back, but both the inside and outside screens were still working fine.

I eventually got a replacement through Samsung Care though, so I could trade it in.

I am definitely not extremely careful when handling them, I just use them the same way I use my slab phones. I don't typically drop those either though.

                • @eug: I’m glad it held up. Lucky you had Samsung care! They must be getting better over time. Don’t get me wrong, love the concept of it. Just wanted to say that Apple isn’t the only kid on the block charging big money for phones anymore.

                  • @EitherWayUp:

Just wanted to say that Apple isn’t the only kid on the block charging big money for phones anymore.

Oh yes if you compare the full RRP of the phones, Samsung is definitely in Apple territory. But us professionals know how to get big discounts that just don't happen with Apple products. :)

              • -1

@EitherWayUp: You have to be extremely careful when handling them

You clearly dont have zfold otherwise you know that assumption is totally wrong

  • I registered for the unpacked event but didn't received the discount voucher?? Anyone got it?

    • +1

I received for all three email addresses that I registered :)

    • I did not receive on my epp email as in gov email

    • Just found my email in spam folder , suggest you look there.

  • wot ? one of the reasons for the Fold at least is so you can be sans tablet.

Maybe others will operate different deals (I hope)

    • Samsung gvies the tablet free so people can sell them cheap therefore broaden samsung markets

  • +1

if only the epic fold 5 deal happens again…

    • I guess no more. Even for the S24 Ultra, there's still no deal yet.

      • +1

Yeah I was hoping for a deal on S24 Ultra as not a fan of folds in terms of longevity and fragility

        • Mine only unfolds at about 120°. Only used for 1 year. Even with warranty Samsung won't help. Reason: a scratch on the hinge.

          • @MA87033: Fold5? Omg crazy. And samsung is pathetic.

            • @CyberMurning: Fold4. And if you can't provide a receipt you're basically non existent to them

              • -1

@MA87033: yep good about iphone is no need receipt they can tell from serial number who where when you bought it

      • -1

        Wait for secret code event?

  • It's a shame the camera is mediocre. For the price you should expect more. Vivo X Fold 3 pro has a better camera. And Vivo/oppo have had better Zeiss cameras for a couple or generations, not to mention Apple.

    • Specs or Zeiss branding alone don't determine how good a camera is. e.g. in MKBHD's blind camera test with over 20 million votes, the cheap Pixel 7A beat even the iPhone 15 Pro. And that's from a blind test where people didn't know which phone took which photo; they just voted for the one they liked more.

Results table at 10:13. The Flip5 is no. 6 on the list so I imagine the Flip6 would probably be similar.

      • I didn't say that brand improves camera quality, just saying what Vivo use. For the last few years generally they do better than Samsung. I've already seen reviews saying the Vivo X Fold 3 photography is better than the fold 6. Do what you want with this information.

        • For the last few years generally they do better than Samsung.

In the blind camera test I linked, Samsung did better than Vivo. That blind camera test has 20 million votes.

The Flip5 was no. 6 on the list. I wouldn't call that mediocre.

  • Wonder if anyone got further discount from loyalty or $50 / $100 off from chat ?

    • I tried via chat, no luck they are not giving

      • Same here

    • Loyalty codes from chat do not work on Edu or EPP store.

  • +2

Ridiculous pricing, if I trade in S23 Ultra 512 for 650 only, plus all the bonus and discount, out of pocket price still above $1000.

  • +1

$2199 discounted cost for fold 6 on EPP.
$200 accessory voucher (used for galaxy buds pro - with 30% off)
    $450 unfoldai discount
$200 trade in bonus (event registration)
    Tradein credit $220 (S21 ultra)

    Puts it at $1418:
    1139 - fold 6 256gb
    279 - buds 3 pro

    • What about the Flip 6? Site is inaccessible for me

    • +2

So effectively costs you $1,418 + $220 (your phone trade-in value) and plus $60 if you don’t send your phone to them.

      • Yes - (which includes phone and the buds pro)

      • +1

Just ordered the fold6 512gb crafted black and buds 3 pro for $1500 after discount codes, $5 trade-in, Samsung shop app 5% discount and Samsung reward points all from the education store

        • Can you share detailed break up of the order?

          • @OZBsince2018: (2359.2+279.30−450−200−200−5)x0.95 minus my 190.97 Samsung rewards
Plus $65 as I won't be sending any phones for tradein

    • Do they still do the loyalty vouchers too?

      • They do but not at this moment / period when they know many people are buying. The do give when there is no promotion most of the time.

  • How difficult would it be to resell the tablet on marketplace?

    • If you're looking around $550, maybe a quick sale within a month or so.
Market is flooded with S9 tab and Watch 6 from previous promotions

      • I’ve seen the tabs on local gumtree for $400 for the past few weeks, going unsold….

  • Telstra deal
    +$100 better trade in value
    +$400 trade in value
    Galaxy s9 fe($550)
is a bit better than samsung website
    ($200 online access email
    $450(code)
    Galaxy buds pro 3($399)
    Its similar but i think
tab s9 fe is better than buds pro 3 ??

    • JB hi-fi deal is similar but may some.
$500 trade in bonus, better trade in rate and $400 gift card

    • tab s9 fe is better than buds pro 3 ??

this entirely depends on your individual circumstances

  • My 12 month plan on my Fold 5 (512gb) is about to end so I ended up with these options for the fold 6:
Telstra - $835 Trade In + $400 Bonus Trade In = $1235 + S9 FE Tablet (potentially sellable for $400 online, but not certain)
JB Hifi - $900 Trade In + $500 Bonus Trade In = $1400 + $400 JB Hifi Gift Card (for anything, not just accessories)
Samsung - $775 Trade In + $150 Bonus Trade In = $925 + $400 Samsung Accessory Spend (my Samsung code was for Samsung Malaysia for some reason and doesnt work …)
Samsung Education - Not sure if I'll make it in yet as I am starting study again in a couple weeks, but it would look like this I think
    - $589.8 (20% off F6 512gb Model) + $775 Trade in + $450 Bonus Trade In = $1814.80 + $200 Samsung Accessory Spend (same issue with code for this one, but would've been $200 trade in bonus as well)
So best option for me would be Samsung Education (even without the code) if I can sort out an account before offer ends,
Otherwise JB Hifi seems like the best option (for me at least)

  • How TF do I get a Samsung Education accountf 'or my kid'? It says my daughter isn't old enough.
Isn't it supposed to be for school kids?

    • u need to verify with edu email. ask ur kid (mine is a high schooler) for their email. then after input u need to login and verify email from samsung. i ordered mine from samsung app. cheaper.

  • Two questions:

I used my unpacked code and then faffed around in the cart and it now says code not valid….. Will it reset or do I have to contact chat?

With the trade-in do I need IMEI or something to generate a code using Samsung app on the device? I don't have any devices to trade in and guess I will have to eat the $60 fee. Can someone explain this please. Thank you.

    • +1

Yes they ask for IMEI and take the trade-in amount during purchase itself as security deposit, which gets released when they receive the device!
