Dick smith/Kogan it’s a grey import so be careful
It may not have all the same bands so some sims may not work
It may not have a physical sim slot
Apple may not cover it here
You need to check details before buying

    • Is it just the two year warranty that Apple doesnt cover or the first year as well? I got my 6s replaced in AU back in 2018 which was purchased overseas

      • It's more they're international models, which Apple Stores in AU don't carry on hand. They might be able to do part swaps, but not the entire phone.

Grey imports arent covered by ACCC at Apple, buyer beware. Found out the hard way with a $3500 MBP which is now a paperweight

      Thats a very expensive paperweight

When you buy from a store here in Australia, they are obliged to honor the warranty. I bought an iPad Pro with Kogan and it got an issue with the screen not registering input in certain areas only. Apple one year warranty was already over but they took it and gave me a new one. I only had to showed them how to reproduce the problem. And also later I bought the apple keyboard with Kogan as well and all the numbers were not working, I took it again with apple and they gave me a new one as well

      • When that business closes up shop less than a year after purchasing, there's nowhere to go.

        • You can go to Apple directly. It's likely covered for 1 year, instead of following ACL.

          • @1cent2much: I did, it was 6 months out of warranty. They refused to do anything because it was a grey import (which I didn't know at the time) and said therefore it's not covered by ACL. Wanted to charge $1000 to repair it when it's a widely known issue with that model (which they corrected in the subsequent releases).
