Rejoin Prime & Get $20 off Your Next $59 Eligible Order @ Amazon AU

2881
20PRIME
This post contains affiliate links. OzBargain might earn commissions when you click through and make purchases. Please see this page for more information.

1 month of Prime is $9.99 (and also works with a free trial!), so it's effectively $10 off a $59 order + 1 month of Prime ( = 16.9% discount on a $59 spend! or 33% discount if youre eligible for a free Prime subscription!)
I came across this as a non Prime user, looking at an item Sold and Shipped by Amazon AU, with the promo text: Prime Day deal Save $20 on orders $59 or more promo code: 20PRIME.

If you click the link, you're eligible if Amazon says:

Congratulations, you are eligible!

  • Step 1: Sign up to be a Prime member here (Before 21st of July, 11.59pm)
  • Step 2: Look for items with "Ships from and sold by Amazon AU" on the product page
  • Step 3: Add $59 or more of eligible items to cart
  • Step 4: Enter the promo code 20PRIME at checkout before 3 August 2024 and get $20 off

I believe this is available to existing Amazon users without an active Prime membership, but might be targeted as well.
Update - not available according to some users, sorry mods if I've done this incorrect.

Terms:
These terms and conditions apply to the offer where Amazon.com.au customers that have been invited by Amazon or who have clicked through on-site marketing at Amazon.com.au or in the Amazon App while signed into their Amazon customer account can receive $20 off a purchase of $59 or more eligible item(s) when they use the promotional code 20PRIME at checkout if they sign-up for a Prime membership before 21 July 2024 (“Offer”). This Offer ends at 11.59pm (Sydney time) on 21 July 2024 and promotional credit must be redeemed before 3 August 2024.
For the purpose of these terms and conditions "eligible items" refers to any product sold and shipped by Amazon AU at Amazon.com.au and in the Amazon App and does not apply to:

  • purchases made from third party sellers (including Amazon US, Amazon UK, Amazon Japan, or Amazon Germany) even if fulfilled by Amazon AU; or
  • digital purchases such as e-books, subscriptions such as Prime Video and Audible, gift cards and postage or delivery rates.

To redeem this Offer, eligible customers must sign-up for a Prime membership before 21 July 2024 and redeem their promotional credit before 3 August 2024. The $20 discount will be available within 24 hours of Prime sign-up. Eligible customers must add one or more eligible items to their Shopping Cart at Amazon.com.au or in the Amazon App, then at checkout, enter the unique promotional code , after which the discount will be applied to the eligible items. If you do not add any eligible items to your cart, the unique promotional code and this Offer will not apply. The unique promotional code is single use and can only be redeemed once by eligible customers. If you cancel or return any eligible item purchased using the promotional code, you will only be refunded the price paid for those eligible items (that is, less the value of the promotional code) and the promotional code will be invalidated. This Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. This Offer cannot be used on pre-existing orders. This Offer does not apply to orders placed with 1-Click. This Offer is not transferable and may not be resold. This Offer is subject to availability and may be withdrawn or amended without notice. This Offer is not redeemable for cash. This Offer is non-transferable and may not be resold.
The Amazon.com.au Conditions of Use and Sale apply. Delivery charges will be applied to each item in accordance with the Amazon.com.au standard delivery rates and policies. If you violate any terms and conditions of this Offer, your use of the unique promotional code will be invalid, and you will not be eligible for this Offer. Amazon may elect to cancel a transaction (and refund monies paid) if it considers that a customer is violating these terms or to address suspected misuse, abuse or fraud. Amazon reserves the right to cancel this Offer at any time where it suspects misuse, abuse or fraud.

I ordered something using the code and rejoined Prime. Cancelled prime immediately after placing the order, and will be getting $9.69 back.

Actually needed the item, so a good win :)

    • You had to ask chat for refund?

      • No, it was just offered, cancel now for $9.69 refund, or refund at the end of the month

  • +2

Being rolled out. Mine just received today. Worth the effort for $20 off something you need.

  • Have the promotion on my account but unfortunately no free trial. Pretty sure I had the free trial option last month. Seems like they pulled it off closer to prime day.

  • Cancelled my annual prime that had been going for 3 months when I first saw this deal. Was refunded less $18. Was ineligible immediately after. Today checked my app and saw I was now targeted for this deal. Effective refund of 3 months. Thanks OP

    • Me too. Didn’t use it and it disappeared?

      Wtf amazon

    • +2

Are you using it on $59 worth of Amazon AU shipped and sold items? The code applied automatically for me doing that.

      • Yes, 59 worth of Amazon AU groceries. Doesn't work. It seems like they have replaced the default coupon with the zippay one?

    • +1

thank you to the OP for posting the terms and criteria as i cant find them anymore, luckily i could forward the email but customer chat was still trying to screw me over, saying the code was only for prime day sales but its meant to work till august, so eventually managed to get a voucher, or so they say… last time i trust amazon so easily. cheers!

  • Would the spend 59 get 20 off also apply to signing up to one of these 3 month Mastercard free prime trial? Also I was sure I had an offer in the offers part on the app for my new citi card expiring like 31 July or 31 august but when I log in this month I don't see it… hmm. Anyone else?

I mean if I don't get the 20 off with the Mastercard 3 months thing I think I would just pay the 9.99.

    • citi link is in citi email, inside APP is cashback offer.

click "go to deal" to find if your account eligible.

  • +2

Thank you OP, got this discount on a free trial and $10 promo credit.

urg struggling to find $59+ items so i can get this applied

  • actually somehow the $20 works on items from Amazon US (bought from AU website) eventhough the term says only for items Ships from and sold by Amazon AU

    • Which items? I couldn't get it to work on any Amazon US items.

      • It was mixed of few au items total $50 and $17 that garden scissor brand start with f from usa

  • I used this code, and it gave me $20 dollar off, plus the 10 dollar credit for 200 dollar gift card. bought a 2tb kinston ssd for 148 , great!

Like some others, 20PRIME seems work when we first re-joined Prime. For me there was this little redeem button on the product page.

But today, it no longer works. I am currently one hour in with customer service, and on the 3rd assistant.

    • Your 0.5 hr time probably worth more than 20…

      • I know, I am watching in the background and mucking around on reddit

        • any luck in the end?

    • the assistants drop like flies without any notification, if they can not resolve your issue

  • Promo was pulled early? I redeemed it earlier in the day and had an item that was showing the promo on checkout but I didn't buy just yet. Now I tried again and it only shows the zippay one. Doesn't appear on any 'shipped from Amazon AU' products either.

    • its not showing anywhere only on checkout just put one kindle for example go all the way to checkout

  • +1

Could anyone else use the $20 code today? It wouldn’t work for me.

    • Yep bought like 6 hours ago. Worked.

      • what you end up buying if I can ask? I am still unsure on what $59 item to buy.

        • +1

          fireTV 4k max $59-20

    • +1

I just used one 10 mins ago.

    • Yep worked today.

      • Yes still works 10mins ago

  • I missed out this bc the free Prime from Westpac since I didn't click the link first, sadness😢

    • Can you confirm what you mean?

I think what you mean is the way to achieve this offer is you need to be targeted and do step 1:

      Congratulations, you are eligible!

Step 1: Sign up to be a Prime member here (Before 21st of July, 11.59pm)

By "here" I think that means that only by pressing "here" to sign up to prime via free trial or pay directly to prime will enable you to receive the $20 voucher.

You chose to rejoin prime via westpac Mastercard 3 month free offer instead so you can't rejoin by clicking "here" as you get prime already just before?

      • It’s possible that I just wasn’t targeted for this offer. However, I first got the free Prime from Westpac and then checked the link in this deal, and found I wasn't eligible. I think it might be because I checked the link after becoming a member. As for where to sign up, I don’t think it’s crucial since some people got the offer after signing up through Westpac.

  • Has anyone tested this today? Some reports of it not working yesterday above.

If my goods I wanna buy don't need prime special pricing and don't benefit from shipping then it may not be worth to rejoin to prime right? Pay 9.99 for a voucher that doesn't work and get no real benefit.

    • You can cancel Prime and get a full refund if you haven't used any of the benefits.

Hey all. I got this deal. Funny i cant actually find anything of interest from Amazon Au as the seller.. this is kind of a scam as amazon au sell almost nothing at all directly..
Im trying to put in the code Prime20 but just working for nothing at all.

    • wow bezoz would be sad you call him scammer

  • 20PRIME I mean

  • +2

Strange, the item is over $59, in-stock, Ships from Amazon AU, Sold by Amazon AU, yet I'm getting: The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.

    • Contact customer service and see if they can apply the $20 manually

  • For people with the code not be applied, it means it is already automatically applied to your account. Just put a kindle, go to checkout, select payment method and youll see option already ticked "use your promo credit" you can untick and use it for next purchase

    • Nope, tried many sold and shipped by Amazon AU items including Kindles.

  • +1

"The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase."

I have been on with Amazon customer support for the past half hour.

They are insisting that it only applies to "qualifying items displaying the offer on the page". Even though the conditions in the original T&C were:
    1. Sold and shipped by Amazon AU
    2. $59 or more

I remember when I preferred to shop at Amazon because they had good customer service and resolved issues easily. Now every interaction with them is like pulling hair, they do nothing but fob you off or they disconnect the chat on you.

    • After grinding with Amazon support for just under an hour, they finally applied a $20 credit to my account.

It was a "one time exception" after throwing just about everything at me to fob me off. I personally don't see correcting their mistake as a favour but whatever.

Make sure you check for the credit before getting off the chat. The first time they supposedly applied the credit, it wasn't actually done.

      Horrible to deal with.

      • It's a targetted offer so if it doesn't work for you that means you haven't been targetted.

        • maybe you are correct.
          @ringu
          @bobjane
did you have that blue banner on app/web saying get 20 if you rejoin? and when you click it say join here (with here is the link).
or you just simply join out of nowhere and try to apply the code?

because literaly 2 hours ago, today, i checked my other amazon old account and i saw the banner, click, joined (got 1 month trial as well!) and straight away the $20 is availalbe and i have used it just now

          • @McMaferMur: Definitely targetted. If you sign into your Amazon account and click through the link in OP it'll let you know whether you've been targetted or not. If you are targetted then signup to Prime and the offer should show up under anything shipped and sold by Amazon AU.

            • +1

@dins: yeah true after i joined, when i browse items from au it will say redeem $20 promo something in green sentence
but yeah i dont need to enter 20prime code, its already there auto applied on checkout

        • Yes and I checked I was eligible before joining. It tells you on the landing page.

Maybe don't be quick to dismiss when multiple people have reported the same issue.

        • We only signed up because we were targeted. It specifically said we were eligible. Man, you sound just like an Amazon rep.

          • @dyziplen: Sounds like you guys thought you were targeted but you weren't actually targeted. So not sure why y'all are targeting me for not being targeted.

            🎯

            • +2

@dins: I literally have a screen shot of me logged in, with my name on the page, saying I am eligible.

Then after signing up, the 20prime redemption was showing up on the product pages. But I didn't redeem at the time as I was waiting for prime day. Then prime day came and the redemption button disappeared.

Amazon screwed up somewhere, and there are multiple people reporting it.

  • I had the same issue.
Received the targeted email, rejoin and get $20 credit etc.
I rejoined, then when the sale started I could see the offer there on selected items, thought I'd wait and see if they added more stuff in the last few days of the sale and the offer was no longer available.
I contacted chat and they said they had no record of me getting the email, had to send a screen grab, ah ok well that offer was for first time sign ups only and to read the T&Cs, which I then screen grabbed the rejoin banner the T&Cs linked me to. Basically looking for any excuse. In the end they said they added a $20 credit but need to check that.
It was definitely working the other day but just disappeared for me.

    • Have exactly same issues, receive the targeted email, rejoin, show offer $20 off $59 offer on app for few days and then it's disappeared. Contact customer services and send them reference of the targeted email (on the bottom of the email) and got $20 credit (no minimum spend)

  • I had the same issue too, but luckily my customer service rep was very efficient/quick as soon as I supplied the email / reference code of my targeted email.

They manually applied the $20 credit with no dramas or pushback.

  • Ditto…offer was showing then disappeared…got $20 gift card credit from customer service chat. Happy with outcome

    • +1

Just did the same, thanks for posting

  • I did see that 20prime redemption code a couple of days ago, but now it's disappeared. It will probably come back once prime day ends, Amazon doesn't want those firesticks to be discounted to heavily. lol

  • Anyone have a screenshot of the T&Cs? I was eligible but they wiped that webpage and pulled it early. Also didn't get an email either.

    • The deals credit has expired? Did you join Prime before the 21st July?

credit must be redeemed before 3 August 2024.

      • -1

Joined on the 19th. Actually saw the tickbox to apply the code to products before I joined.
