[Prime, SUBS] Love Lies Bleeding (2024) Movie Now Available to Stream @ Prime Video

262

From Director Rose Glass comes an electric new love story; reclusive gym manager Lou (Kristen Stewart) falls hard for Jackie (Katy O’Brian), an ambitious bodybuilder headed through town to Vegas in pursuit of her dream. But their love ignites violence, pulling them deep into the web of Lou’s criminal family.

Kristen Stewart. 😻

REMINDER: it’s been awhile since I was on prime so just remembered, if you wanna watch any of these WITHOUT Ads you need to pay an extra $2.99.
I thought $10 for a month of free next day delivery no minimum spend + movies was worth it. but $13?? if I sign up this will be the first time I have to consider this.

also noticed this 2023 Movie “Bull” kinda a new release but I think it’s been out on prime for awhile https://www.primevideo.com/detail/0OQN4P3KVPM5MVT33APCCMC0FX

“Nightwatch” is also another new recent release which I had on watchlist but was unavailable, but now showing as available on free 7 day Shudder trial via Prime.
danish serial killer movie I think.

I don’t have prime atm, but I can still open the app and see everything.

added Love Lies bleeding to my Watchlist.
but I swear I need to sub prime soon (just in time for prime day??) because they sometimes remove new releases from “Free to watch on Prime” after a month or two.
this one already has the rent/buy option showing so they will definitely remove it soon.

Brilliant movie. Don’t be put off by the cast if that is something that bothers you.

Can’t wait to watch it again.

    6.7/10 IMDb
    94% Rotten Tomatoes
    77% Metacritic
77% liked this film Google users

    • +5

yeah I didn’t check any of those but I just decided it looked interesting and planned to watch it.

      ratings websites aren’t always reliable.

      • So what's your verdict then?

        • it's in the post but I don't have Prime at the moment. Prime day starting 16th though so considering it.

    • +1

yes lots of 90%+ on Rottentomato is.

but that doesn’t mean every 90%+ movie is (woke) all the time and it doesn’t guarantee it’s a shitty movie.

      have you watched it??

    • +5

Reactionary crap and a misuse of woke. However, If I say what I really think I will get another warning.

    • +2

      Snowflake detected

    • Just because the main characters are lesbians does not make the movie "woke"

Lesbians definitely exist (in case you didn't know) and this is quite a fun movie

It’s super tempting to post a deal for every new thing on every streaming service. I wonder how long the rule would stay intact.

Pity I can’t be arsed doing just that though.

    • I mean I notice more than I actually post.

not trying to post every single one I see. also sure I’m missing some movies on certain subs as well.

    • Pity I can’t be arsed doing just that though.

yeah well you said it. can’t be bothered.

just a fyi, I noticed if I don’t post something eventually I see someone else post it. in other words you can stop posting any time and most of the time another user ends up posting it anyway.

Like every deal, if no one cared it wouldn't be upvoted. That's kinda how this site works, so much stuff dies off unnoticed that if you started posting everything, no one would upvote your posts and it'd never hit the front page.

This apparently has an audience (sexy lesbians sells, who knew?)

  • +1

I concur! Fab film coupled with very sexy characters! 💪💪💪

    SPOILER ALERT

This is a ridiculous, god awful movie.

Started out interesting then absolute rubbish and nonsense. Save yourself the time.

Visuals aren't enough to save a film especially when it sinks to nonsense like a lesbian girl turning into a 200 foot giant and squashing men who hurt her.

I am not joking either lol

Much better movies on Prime to watch.

    • Yeah I’m with you on that take.

  • +1

    really enjoyed this movie.

    hints of David Lynch

  • -2

"Lou (Kristen Stewart) falls hard for Jackie " - is that a typo? Surely they mean Jack?

    • +1

I don't get it. I mean, in the movie Titanic, Rose didn't fall in love with Jackie?

  • -1

Really so disappointed with Prime Video right now with it perfectly mimicking Netflix (in every which way) juet like every Tom, Dick, & Harry streamers out there in the wild.

    • juet like every Tom, Dick, & Harry streamers out there in the wild.

yeah you said it. it's either adding ad tier, or raising sub prices. or both.

    @harshbdmmaster718

Changing the terms after you sign up is worse IMO. So far, advertising is minimal. They display a banner of programs when you run something and you don't get time to look over it (subliminal intent???). After that, ads a well-spaced. The most intrusive seen so far is three in a row, but normally it's one or two. Watching TV programs 45-50mins long, sometimes you get right through without an ad; sometimes you may get one ad break.

I can't help thinking 'this is the thin edge of the wedge, Prime will become as bad as commercial FTA', but so far it is bearable.

You can always subscribe with ads and pay extra to get rid of advertising later.

    • Back to the high seas for me, I can't stand ads

      • The most frustrating thing I had recently was trying to stream something on my PC from Netflix. The quality was so bad in the browser, I went to the high seas to get what I wanted to watch because it meant better quality and no ads.
Streaming is quickly becoming a complete sh!tshow of ads and low quality content.

        • Depending on the browser you use, the resolution will be limited to as low as 720p.

          From Netflix themselves, these are the limitations for Windows, for example;

          Edge - Ultra HD (2160p)*
          Chrome - Full HD (1080p)
          Firefox - HD (720p)
          Opera - HD (720p)

There's a whole bunch of OS and hardware requirements for Ultra HD as well.

          • @TekniqAU:

            Edge - Ultra HD (2160p)*

I noticed the asterisk on Edge.

and remembered reading an article that "auto ai upscaling is coming to microsoft edge browser". but only supported if you have a certain graphics card I think.

so it's probably actually streaming 1080p like chrome, but in edge the built in auto ai upscaling makes it 4K.

    • It will get progressively worse. Once the bulk of their user base gets used to a few ads they will ramp it up. A perfect example of enshitification.

    • I did a month of Netflix Ad tier just recently. after not coming back for almost 2 years they had deleted my entire account and watchlist.

anyhow, the ads were also on the light side. basically first few movies were ad free, then they started increasing. but towards the end of the month still getting the occasional movie ad free. I also watched one season of a TV series the ads were more often but not unbearable. don't remember getting through an episode ad free, the best case was only 1 ad per episode.

usually my experience with other ad support streams is ads are less often on movies. when you start watching a TV series they throw them at you like every 15 mins or so. on most subs when switching from a movie to a TV series straight away I definitely noticed way more ads.

but reading your comment doesn't sound like that's the case with Prime, sounds like the frequency is the same with Movies and TV series.

You can always subscribe with ads and pay extra to get rid of advertising later.

thats a good point. try to put up with it first and see if you actually think it's worth it. but at the same time I usually sub only 1 month at a time to many things, so the more that I delay the $2.99 upgrade the less of the actual month I will have to watch ad free. 💁‍♀️

So this is an advert for a paid movie service? How is this a bargain?

  • +1

Hard to say if it's endorsement or criticism but I saw a photo of a guy who fell asleep in the theater mid jerk off to this movie in the states on twitter.

Well there was quite a lot of booze next to him, so I think that contributed

  • Ah yes, when I think of a good movie I think Kristen Stewart. The Charlie’s Angels remake movie should be on there too.

      The Charlie’s Angels remake movie

omg I did not know about this. I'm going to look for it now thanks!
