    • hmm.. Choice is between Albo.. or Aussie Klan wizard?

  • +1

Shouldn't it be $50 paid to the attendees?

    • it would need to be more for me, the amount of propaganda both sides spew is amazing

  • +2

    waste money

  • +1

    That geographical pricing speaks volumes

  • +13

Top quality shitposting OP. Not a bargain even if free.

  • +2

A shitshow in its literal definition.

  • +3

So much fragility on display…threads like these are always a giggle to watch the involuntary displays of faux & real outrage by the mere existence of an alternate viewpoint.

    • +6

By the mere existence? Nah, these people, unfortunately, do much more than existing.

      • So does the opposing opinion…

      • How does Tucker Carlson having an opinion on certain matters affect you directly, besides inducing outrage?

        • +8

Maybe he has no tolerance for morons?

        • +8

he’s the heir of a frozen fish industry fortune who spends his time generating propaganda to undermine democratic steuctures

if that doesn’t spell asshle to you then you an tucker shld get a room

          • @0jay: Thank you for illustrating my point perfectly. Would you speak with such vitriol & confected rage to anyone in person for daring to have a different opinion on a hyper niche subject such as this? I think not.

            • +1

@Ham Dragon: vitriol and confected rage?

you on entirely the wrong tram, bruh

              you’re currently headed into hawthorn

              • @0jay: Yeah I'd categorise your response someone you don't know about a reply to a reply to a comment about a niche political commentator as somewhat excessive & entirely validating of the original point.

                • +1

                  @Ham Dragon: niche?

think i’d argue your rhetorical skills need a tune up

                  • @0jay: Ask 10 people on the street tomorrow who Tucker Carlson is & you'll get a lot of blank looks. I recommend not paying as much attention to this culture war bullshit, there's much more interesting & important subjects than seething because someone from The Other Team said something that contradicts the dogma of your side.

                    • +1

@Ham Dragon: oh sweety, th street is not a barometer of political currency

and i aint seething, not even in the vicinity but it’s very quaint that y think so

                      • @0jay: Not sure which is more cringe, typing the words the way they appear in your head or pretending you aren't offended that someone points out that these threads bring out the worse in users, including calling others "sweety" in a faux ironic tone.

                        • -3

                          @Ham Dragon: aren’t you darling!

nothing faux about it, it’s genuine 100% condescension

                          • @0jay: Again, thank you, the point has been illustrated sufficiently, and your position fortified:

You are condescending of others because they do not automatically hate 'Niche Conservative Internet Personality X'.

Well done, you are truly a beacon for the cause, whatever it is.

                            • +2

@Ham Dragon: says the character making snide, provocative remarks yet posing off like they’re above it all

            • +1

@Ham Dragon: Which hyper niche subject are you referring to?

          • @0jay: "Democratic structures" lol who cares?

            • @OzBarAnon: first they came for th democratic structures…

        • +1

The same way you have been personally affected because no one agrees with your "alternate viewpoint".

          • @smartazz104: My alternative viewpoint that Ozbargain should be a politics free zone? Plenty of people agree with that. I'm not intimidated that others have a contradictory view to my own, plenty of people posting here clearly do, yourself included.

            • @Ham Dragon: anyplace 2 or more people interact there’s politics

              • -1

@0jay: Nonsense, I don't have to deal with politics at the barber, the fruit & veg store, the local playground etc. If you try to politicise every situation or view everything through an "us and them" paradigm then maybe, but not in my world.

                • @Ham Dragon: That's a definition you might've learned in a year 9 civics class

You're counselling against an us and them paradigm then classifying yourself as apart from an accepted social definition of politics

                  • @0jay: Not sure how that relates to the desire that this site remain apolitical. There's enough tribalism in society thanks to social media / internet in general.

                    • @Ham Dragon: It's just a simple recognition of the fact that politics is everywhere. You can overlook it, avoid it as best you can in the course of conversation for eg but it's always there.

                      • @0jay: No, I disagree with that, you haven't given any evidence to that besides saying "it does". I think most people are reluctant to discuss the matter, given how sensitive some people are.

                        • @Ham Dragon: Sorry mate but I'm just a bit confused as to what you're referring to by "it does" but just as an aside, your asserting your view and further to that your recognition that it's in distinction to the view of your interlocutor is an acknowledgement of the political nature of this exchange

                          • @0jay: You claim that politics "is everywhere", despite not offering any evidence that this indeed the case, besides insisting that it is. I dispute this, based on my own experiences. That is not to say I've never encountered politics in public - demonstrations, conversations, elections etc etc - but it isn't pervasive or ever present. I can say that as someone who has travelled extensively and lived overseas that the experience was the same elsewhere as it is here, including in a post Trump victory USA…people generally don't care to discuss politics out of context.

                            • @Ham Dragon: Read a high school civics book

                              • @0jay: Lazy & ineffectual argument + recalcitrance to provide any evidence to claim = we're done here.

                                • @Ham Dragon: it’s not an argument, nor is it a claim. it’s a suggestion of somewhere you can find ‘evidence’. pretty well any school text book covering politics’ll do

I also don't like how this place is becoming a Reddit-esque battlefield of the culture wars. I think any political "deals", like policy announcements, or politically motivated ones like this don't need to be on the site.

This should be a refuge from the political commentary that pervades seemingly every other forum. Less moderation, less agro between members and I think better quality community when we aren't divided along factional lines.

    • +4

I think op posted this as a rage bait and it seem like alot of people took his bait.

    • +1

I know, I understand disliking Clive Palmer but Tucker is perfectly reasonable and amusing. These people are brainwashed.

      • +1

the media really did a good one on their brain. they are a bunch of sheeps

  • +2

    $50 seems excessive

  • +2

Not a deal, and about $500 overpriced.

  • +10

Genuinely feel sorry for the types of people that pays to attend this circus. Even if it was free, life’s too short to give these clowns a minute of their time.

Sorry op, but this is imbecilic at best.
You may have potentially lowered the iQ from these poor folks that attend and listens to those two spewing verbal diarrhoea.

    • +2

I paid full price for it. Thank you for feeling sorry for me.

      • +12

You are deserving of sympathy on several levels.

      • +2

Serious question for you, what do you hope to learn from this? Is it more his opinion? Or more to support him?

        • -4

If you wanna find out you can buy the ticket and attend it yourself. Best way to learn is to experience it yourself bro.

          • +2

@michaelTito: This is really an unhelpful answer.

            • -2

@ozbking: i recommend attending the event if you are looking for something helpful

              • +1

@michaelTito: My question for you was YOUR reflection on why you're attending, not what Tucker Carson is about. So your answer was for me to attend the conference to experience your reflection?
That's why your answer was not helpful.

                • -2

@ozbking: damn bro this is like talking to a wall. nvm

                  • +3

@michaelTito: Completely agree with you, very hard to even understand why you are attracted to Carlson

                    • -1

@ozbking: Actually nvm I was messing around with you this whole time

    • +1

I don't. They are morons, and they get what they deserve.

  • +6

Go Tucker! (seeing how many neg's I get).

    • -3

He is awesome, wish Perth had $50 tickets like Sydney.

  • +13

What a horrible thing to post. Truly despicable people who profit off lies and hatred. They've affected thousands of peoples' mental health and aren't slowing down. Honestly, Ticketek are awful.

  • +6

Wouldn't mind checking it out for Tucker Carlson, thanks op.

  • +5

    Lol, freedom from what?
In all likelihood the audience for these two jokers can't afford paid tickets at any price.
Promoter is petty much guaranteed to lose money although Clive can afford to pick up the bill.

Those who are mad obviously are masked, boosted and support the latest outrage fad. Tucker tells the truth and blue haired weirdos feel offended.

    • +1

You seem offended at others having a different opinion to you, how original. It’s like people can have OTHER opinions or something?

    • +11

      "Tucker tells the truth"
Oh except when he has to defend himself in court and his lawyers say 'actually you shouldn't believe what he says'

    • +5

Most of the dissenters are not angry/mad and don't possess blue hair, you silly person.

      • At least you qualified that with "most" 😂😂

    • +1

      Tucker tells the truth

Evidently you haven't learnt the definition of truth.

    • Those who are mad obviously are masked, boosted and support the latest outrage fad.

      Really? Source?

Tucker tells the truth and blue haired weirdos feel offended.

      Really? Source?

    • In other words, anyone that disagrees with me must obviously be a walking opposite stereotype with all of the worst characteristics i can pin on them.

  • +4

Will he visit the dog on the Tucker box?

  • +7

It’s like reducing the price of a turd from $100 to $50 and calling it a bargain.

  • +9

Tucker is at best an idiot and at worst intentionally spreading disinformation that destabilizes American society. Clive is just an idiot.

This conference has nothing to do with "Freedom".

    This deal isn't a bargain, it's a scam.

    • +2

Plain to see for anybody who isn't an acolyte of his.

    • The stability of American society hasn't been particularly stable for a long time, and Tucker is just one guy who had a TV show. Besides, stability by itself isn't all it's cracked up to be anyway. North Korea is stable, but I wouldn't want to live there.

  • -7

Tucker isn't perfect but he's a long shot better than most people in his industry. He's interviewing a range of people, asking hard questions and letting others decide.

I guarantee you most of the neg votes here haven't seen the majority of his recent interviews in full.

    • +11

      asking hard questions

Yeah, nah. Have you seen his Putin interview?

      • +5

This. Provided a soapbox for someone who actively attempts to crush the concept of Freedom, in Russia and abroad. Perhaps if it were called the Australian Fascism Conference then the tickets would match the description. But the product is clearly misleading so I have to downvote.

    • -8

I bet the red neggers have not even got the mental capacity to digest more than their local labor or green pamphlet, if that.

I met Clive three years ago and he was, to me, a nice bloke. As for Tucker. At least he asks questions and is not some generic hack.

      Well worth $50
