Gettin a little heated on the last page of that thread.

lol, Internet forums are amazing places

Just paired mine with a sub. Changed them completely for the better

    • They don't have a sub out though, do they? At least, that's what a review I read about them said.

      • +5

        Nah they dont

Presonus eris 8 sub through an audio interface with balanced cables works though

  • Purchase advice - I am looking for a speaker to pair up with my Samsung G85B for gaming on PS5 as my primary use case; would this be good to tandem with?

    • Looks like the monitor has a 3.5mm jack so you definitely could use them for that purpose. If you're coming from monitor speakers or no speakers, sure! Why not

      • Went ahead and bought the 1700BT from the same sale since I'd appreciate the bluetooth connectivity. Hope it pans out!

        • Fair! BT definitely convenient!

These are really good speakers for the price - amazing sound quality, I pair them with my turntable. The only downside is the volume controls only goes up in 'clicks', rather than being a smooth knob, so you can't really finetune the volume output unless you pair it with like a amp or if your input device has it's own volume control

    • +4

I like the soft clicks if it's that. Lets me pick a favourite.

      • Yes it's a soft click style knob.

  • Do these inlclude Bluetooth connectivity?

I was about to comment back, yes absolutely but wanted to check product page quickly to confirm I'm not giving out fake news. It's not listed.. And I have one of these in the wardrobe unopened thinking it's a spare set of BLUETOOTH speakers.. 😑

Thanks WB, that was my hesitation as well, did not see any references on the product page identifying one way or the other.

How do these compare to Logitech speakers?

  • +2

Any sub recommendations under $150 to go with this deal? and how it would compare with this deal?

  • Is this just the one speaker or a set?

  • Is this for a single speaker or a pair?

Edit: Must be for a pair as the controls are only on one of them. Seems good value.

can you use these instead of a soundbar for a tv?

    • +1

These are meant for nearfield listening and probably would struggle to fill a room.

      • Thanks for that, any speakers you would suggest for a TV that are in this price range $100-$500?

        • JBL 306p

Great speakers for the price, I use a pair connected to my PC for music and gaming.

      • +1

No these do not have Bluetooth … Cabling is a bit average looking but very good sound in my opinion & a nice looking speaker

  • Forgive my noob question but do I need an amp to drive these?

    • +1

I have them straight into my PC along with a sub and they work great

      • Cheers

  • These look quite good for music production (which you'd keep around 75dB at most, so below the tested distortion point) along with a rumble pack or SubPac. This is good enough to fix with an EQ, not so bad that you're producing on the speaker equivalent of Beats or AirPods. Thanks for the deal post!

  • Can I ask, is this good for turntables ?
