    Designed for modern spaces

    How so?

you really trying to pick holes in the copy for Chinese computer speakers? ok. anyway, I'd say that the design is more suited to modern decor than something like this that's more mid-century.

      • Yeah as far as design goes these are similar to AudioEngine A2's which seem to be the top choice for 'Workstation/Desk Setup Porn" types.

      • Thanks. What sort of space should I design around my Sony Muteki 7.2?

I was initially thinking of something like this.

Didn't realise you were on here, Travis

        • probably have it on the whale tail on the back of your Type R, like the other teenage boys do.

        • Was expecting this to be linked.

@skid: Some of my finest work 👍

      • So by "design" they mean colour. Got it.

      • They may be white, which is at least better than black, but they're still ugly as ****.

Solid gloss shades (piano finish) are a modern trend.

You wont find the old pastel bathrooms or cream walls in what most people consider modern spaces.

Apple popularised the 'piano gloss' trend in electronics, honestly, likely taking inspiration from the home theatre finishes that were so popular. (Now wood look is trending higher again according to the wholesaler).

Similar to how 'transparent' technology was all the rage in the 90's, from gameboys to N64, iMacs and various Walkmans and its competitors - all available transparent.

Nothing has yet knocked "piano" finishes off their pedestal for office/living room equipment.

      • Nothing has yet knocked "piano" finishes off their pedestal for office/living room equipment.

The industrial look is more in trend now. Exposed polished cement floors, black colour contrasting with light woods. I'd the glossy fad is long over.

that trend has already come and gone. those filament bulbs scream 2010s

  • This or a soundbar for my cheap tv?

    • Consider a computer speaker set 2+1

I would recommend a pair of used Edifier S2000. I got mine from gumtree for $400 including matching stands. New ones are available at Centre com for $399 as well without stands. Amazing bass and crystal clear sound.

  • I feel like the MR4 at 109 seem a better buy? Bigger woofer etc?

    • +1

      depends on your needs

MR4 probably sounds better, M60 is smaller (a plus if you don't have much desk space to spare) and has more connectivity choices like bluetooth and USB-C

    • +2

As an owner of the MR4's, i agree.

They're just the right height to fit under a monitor, assuming you raise your monitor to eye height.

    • +1

Yep and also come up factory seconds at like $69

  • Are these better that the G2000?

    • Yes, the G2000 are 'gamerfied' with RGB, have a smaller woofer and no separate tweeter.

  • Looking for bluetooth speakers to be put in my garage, would this be good? Or any suggestions?
