  • Damn good price!

Damn, paid $259 and thought it was a good deal.

    • Yep me too!

    • +2

      It was a good deal

Great set of speakers. I've been using the older S350DB for over 5 years. Zero problems so far.

    • Same over a few years.. so good.

    • I’ve been using S350DB for years now as well and am impressed however the remote is without a doubt the worst remote I’ve ever had the displeasure of using. Im thinking of getting a 351DB remote and seeing if it’s compatible.

  • I need a set of speakers with minimal latency to use with a dj controller. Many of the Bluetooth speakers I've seen still have it even when aux is connected. Any idea if this set has the same issue?

    • If you’re using them as fold backs you shouldn’t need a sub. Either way they should be fine using aux.

  • i swear i see this every other year (or previous versions). Miss the days when i had this in uni days (12 years ago).

  • +2

I have had s350db for years and they are very good.

    Do buy at this price.

  • Edifier S360DB…. better option for the extra $?

  • I imagine this would be a decent upgrade vs standard TV built in speakers - but also wouldn't be great for a PC as they're only 2 channel, and not 2.1? (there's no separate input for the sub, and I'm guessing it just sends the low frequencies to the sub, and the high frequencies to the speakers)

    • +1

It says 2.1 in the ad. I've never seen a decent sub +2 bookshelf that wasn't 2.1

    • There's 3 speakers in the pic. How cannot it not be 2.1?

      • +3

He is saying it might not accept a discrete low frequency audio channel input.

    • It appears to be splitting the signal within the sub?

  • I bought a BT receiver to convert my old speakers to Bluetooth.

  • Good price. I paid $4xx couple years back.

  • +1

The edifier website says these are Bluetooth 5.0 however, on centercom its 4.0.
Am I right to assume this is an older model?

Is this better than Dolby 5.1 surround sound?

    • +20

Oh yes absolutely, these will destroy even the high end $30k dolby atmos setups.
Even a full-blown cinema will sound like cheap, tinny temu speakers compared to these.

      • Bro will these trump my Sony muteki doof doof sound system brahhhh?

        • +2

Nothing can trump that tremendously doofy doof doof.

    • +1

these are 2.1 speakers not 5.1 the term you referred to "Dolby 5.1 Surround" I think they are a feature for a set of 5.1 speakers that can convert/upscale stereo source to 5.1
from memory they don't sound that great on most speaker that do this. It's has been awhile since I last tried it though

  • Unable to process the order. It says:

    Waiting for address information.
Please save your address to proceed.

    Even after providing it…

    • +2

I was able to bypass that error by unticking the 'same as billing address' checkbox before saving my billing address.

  • would this be better than getting a sound bar for a TV?

    • +1

Not knowing how these sound, nor which soundbar you're comparing to… Yes

      • sorry i got no idea about this, i recently just bought my own place and own a TV now, didnt bother while renting lol

i guess it would be comparable prices that I was asking about

        • Most likely yes will sound better than a comparatively prices sound bar.

    • +2

Dialogue might be harder to hear without a centre channel, compared to a decent soundbar

      • +1

It’s stereo, it will be a phantom centre with good tweeters, so should be better than most soundbars in this price range. Will also have true stereo while soundbars will not.

    • +1

depend on what type of sound bar, if your talking about a simple single bar then yes these will knock it out of the park
if comparing to the latest bars with bar+satellites+woofer then it can be close, but you'd be spending more than x2 the price for it

  • Just ordered, thanks OP. Can anyone recommend suitable speaker stands for the left and right speakers?

    • you don't need speaker stands, put them on the desk.

      • Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'm not using these on a desk, and don't have a suitable surface to "put them on", which is why I asked my question about speaker stands.

      I agree.

  • I've had the s350db's for 3 years now which I bought for $350 and they're great. Would buy again even at that price.
    This is a great deal.

I wish these had USB connectivity

I have Altec Lansing FX6021 Computer Speakers

    https://uk.pcmag.com/speakers/28391/altec-lansing-fx6021-21

Would these be much of an improvement?

    • Definitely in looks

      • I will add that I purchased them for $250 in 2006,.so approx 18 years old (!)

        • Haha yeh these Altec Lansing were great for the time. Mine is still kicking since Jan 2005… But sound quality definitely isn't as detailed as an edifier

    • Very big improvement, the altec lansings have a tinny sound.

  • Looks like they are pick up only now

  • Just a word of caution at the front of the sub is fully exposed and the speaker elements are also fragile.

I managed to dent one of my Tweeters In a move and now the high pitch noise is driving me crazy.

    Keep away from children

  • Anyone know if these are better than the Voll P44s ?

  • ahhh cr*p, Sold out online…. Ozbargainers have OzBargained again. LOL

    • +1

Just noticed that these have restocked :)

      • +1

Thank you :) I didn't realise these would restock so fast, so I bought (my Dad) a Samsung Sound Bar instead for $183. All good, his TV Speakers have blown, so he will be impressed with the soundbars output quality anyway.

  • -1

Picked it up today, I really like it, though does anyone else have an issue of the minimum volume being way too loud? I have to separately adjust the volume in Windows to get it more quiet.

    • I don't have this model, the Edifier pair I have has a knob on the side to adjust volume. You should turn it down and adjust the Windows volume as well. Nothing wrong that
