  • Damn, I'm trying to buy the $99 mixed dozen but was hoping shipping would allow the deal to work, but as stated wine purchase has to be minimum $100.. I'll keep looking at their selection, but the deal looks good!

  • Wow, so how much do retailers make out of AMEX? Sheesh!

    • American Express would have teamed up with the vendor for the promotion.

    • Actually, it's kind of the opposite. Amex screws merchants (ie. retailers) more than Visa and Mastercard, hence why a lot of places charge a surcharge for use of AMEX or Diners cards.

This is a good buy with the discount. One of James Hallidays Top 100 for 2012 apparently for $5.20 per bottle delivered.

    • Have you tried this particular drop yourself? Would be good to get a first hand good/crap rating on this particular drop.

Also, for everyone else, wine recommendations are welcome. Please share your experiences regarding bargains you come across.

      Cheers

      • Sorry for the delay. Yes, I have tried the 2009 and 2010 vintages but not this one. I purchased a case of the 2011 as I am confident that it will be at least as good as those two previous vintages. Hope that this helps.

    • Thanks for the recommendation. Ordered that, received something else :| Oh well, what I received was worth more anyway

Is it a one time use? he says as he is already on the way to liver failure

    • Hi sorry have included the t&c's now. It says unique but then also once per household. Maybe if it doesn't work tweaking the letters/numbers might work like their previous deals.

  • read their Terms and Conditions

Nothing against the deal or OP but Crackawines are a dodgy bunch. Just look at past posts for their deals. So watch out with the one use only conditions and such as they will try and charge you extra without asking and store your card details in their database.

  • I also got the same email and the unique code doesn't seem that unique as mine is also ED2G7JR.

On the same email was 15% off full priced items at Surf Stitch http://www.surfstitch.com/info/amex_promotions?om_rid=DpM2g2…

Just got two cartons of beer for $89.80 delivered, some fancy pale ale for my man at Christmas!

if i give you my girl's number, can you prompt her to do the same ;) !!

  • Does this exclude all the stuff that is marked NV before it? what does that mean? "No Voucher" or something?

    • +1

NV usually means 'Non-vintage' for wine/champagne.

      • Oh sweet - thanks :) Now to decide whether or not to buy The Macallan scotch whiskey, it's pretty pricey for the reviews it gets but at almost half price perhaps it's worth it.

    • +1

      NV - "Non-vintage".

Usually relates to sparkling wines. They're made from a blend of vintages, not any specific year.

There are vintage bubblies in existance, but most mainstream ones are NV.

  • i dont normally drink wine so i dunno what to get

i dont like too acidic wines and i would normally drink it with meat or BBQ

    pls recommend me some thanks

    • Just grab a dozen shiraz / merlot blend. Great wine for a BBQ / red meat dish.

  • I applied the code and it gives the discount of $50 just fine :)…I haven't gone through the final payment process yet, but it seems like I can proceed to the payment section without selecting AMEX payment method? I selected paypal and it still gave me the final summary with the $50 discount?

    WARNING NOTE

Just a quick heads up that purchases made with a payment method other than an AMEX card will be cancelled and refunded. This includes Paypal payments. Also, anyone using the voucher code via multiple email addresses will also have their transactions cancelled and refunded.

This offer was made to holders of AMEX credit cards only. We make no apologies for any inconvenience caused to those abusing these vouchers and the terms of that offer.

Wow, looks like someone needs to hire a PR company. Terrible communication! Here's an idea Dean - fix up your bloody website so it only accepts Amex payments when the voucher is used instead of coming across all bossy and arrogant!

      • They don't need a PR company they just need some common sense :P

  • Hi, can anyone tell me whether this deal works for their auctions as well? Or does it have to be a purchase outright?

  • This seems like a ridiculous website - where is the checkout button? I can't find it anywhere! Help!!

  • I've worked it out - the buy now button doesn't work unless you're actually looking at the item - so you click 'BUY NOW') to see more information, then you can click BUY IT NOW from there. But you can't then buy anything else - all you can do is checkout. So you can't buy a case for $99 then another wine or two in the same order to get it to over $100. That seems ridiculous, but I suppose that is how the system works.

  • Promo is still working. Just managed to order some sparkling for Xmas

  • Tried the promo code, says it is now invalid.
