2018 model do not mean they were made in 2018. I believe Sony business model includes manufacturing older models at entry prices to get people to buy into the brand. E.g. Sony a7 III cameras that were introduced in 2018 are still being manufactured and sold.
yeah you are right they also even sometimes still make and sell old discontinued models in certain countries.
I dunno looks like only 20 units total though maybe they just discovered some that was lost in their warehouse?
