Just bought, great price. Been looking for a solution to push my signal to the garage TV. This should tick the box.

      • +2

        You have a garage?

        AND a TV in it?

        Mate, you're minted! 🀣🀣
Here I am struggling with my rent, in a shit hole in the wall apartment. 😏

  • Any short patch leads to double dip on at all matey? Cheers

    • how short? we do have 150mm cat6a. i have a few pallets of slims coming in today that will be uploaded later today

      • Yeah just for patching inside a panel. Anything from 150-250mm! Current switch isn’t rack mounted so maybe more like 250mm.

        Slims would be good.

Edit: side note, the 10 packs of white wall cat6 jacks are more expensive than buying 10 single units heh

        • i have not noticed that i will check it out and update

Ordered from this place at one of the last deals. NBN enclosure, some CAT6 cable and patch leads. Items were shipped very quickly and its good quality stuff. Would definitely buy again.

    • What do you use that for at home?

      • +1

CAT6 for new CCTV installation, NBN enclosure for CCTV/NBN hardware, patch panel and leads for neater install & termination point of field cables.

        • Wow, that's a great idea!

I have an nbn box, with a garage door opener base, and a CCTV base, that can all be hidden. They all live in the hall on a shelf.
So I can buy this, mount it to the wall behind the couch in the hall? and bobs my uncle?

I'm not too verses in networking. I need to wire my 3 bed room 2 living single storey house. Is 100m roll of the cat6a going to suffice? πŸ€” I'm tending to think it will.. but would be nice to know from people who have experience with this stuff. I will get someone to do the wiring for me.

And what's the difference between the two blue cat6a 100m rolls? One (in stock) is labelled UTP, the other (not in stock) is labelled S/FTP.

    Thanks!

    • +1

one is shielded and the other is unshielded. unshielded is fine for domestic household networking

      • Thanks. Do I need the jacks and crimps to also be cat6a? As is, is there comparability at play here or can I just get whatever?

        • jacks and crimps should be compatible yes to get the best performance

  • Guys,

Can i ask when your doing addresses on checkout that you have your actual suburb not city. we have got a few orders through now that have capital cities in them instead of suburbs. we are just lining up orders to be packed and shippedin the next 24-48 hours and have noticed a few with just capital city. I have to match suburbs to post codes

    • Isn't having a post code enough?

      • Shopify and shipstation try to validate addresses. so for example if you live in say parramatta but put sydney as the suburb it throws an error and i have to go through and double check the addreses that they have the correct suburub info and if we sent out via auspost it can circle a few times before ending up in the right place

      • Also, there can be many suburbs under a single post code.

  • Grove Cat6 Patch cords have just been uploaded into the store 28awg ultra slim patch cords from 150mm to 5m

  • Great support guys! we cleared out one line of routers! heaps of stock online and can take offers for bulk orders on patch cords too!

  • Hey @execab,

Your descriptions of the ultra slim CAT6A patch cords are wrong (most likely a copy & paste issue):
    https://www.execab.com.au/collections/cat6a-ultra-slim

For example: ComKonect Cat6A 28AWG Ultra Slim Patch Cord Black

    The description says Category 6.

I assume these are all U/UTP unlike the Grove LSZH patch cords which are S/FTP.
The shielding attribute should also be clarified within the description.

    • yes correct i will get that ammended. usually people can tell by the connector as an unshielded connector obviously has no shield where a shielded patch cord should show as with a shielded connnector but yes will add to the descriptions and update

      • +1

        updated!

      • where a shielded patch cord should show as with a shielded connnector

Correct, as can be clearly seen with photos of the Grove products.
I am nitpicking here. But good to know the level of shielding - U/FTP vs S/FTP, etc.

        • no you are perfectly correct!

  • Thanks for the super quick shipping! Ordered Wednesday morning, just delivered.

    • Still processing a large amount all the routers go out this afternoon but thanks very much for the support

  • I'm a little late to the party but what would I need to connect security cameras to an NVR? Assuming Cat6 and a tool to put the male ends on?

    • Hey Dan, Thanks for your question. Cat6 is fine for a residential installation/private and any 8p8c/RJ45 crimp tool will do what you need for connectors.

  • Sick - ordered, wanted to update my colours.

  • Deal's expired - code no longer works. How do we mark this deal as expired?
