Good price on this. Cheapest I could find elsewhere was Catch @ $921.

Coupon SECBTATIOWOPTP automatically applies at checkout.

EDIT - This is a genuine Global ROM with OTA (I messaged the seller)

This has a 50MP 2x telephoto camera with OIS which is notable.

Interested to hear opinions on this vs other options.

I picked up one of these last month for $920 from a different eBay supplier. Absolute beast of a phone for the price. Was a bit hesitant with the MediaTek chip, but zero issues so far. Love how it charges from dead flat to full in 18-20mins. Show me a phone that has these features for this price.

Good to hear some real world opinions. Personally I haven't jumped yet as I'm not a big MIUI fan and debating if I want to do that dance for another two years. How is HyperOS?

      • +2

HyperOS is good. I had a Xiaomi Mi 9 as my previous phone for just over 4 years and experienced MIUI in its infancy. It's come a long way to what HyperOS is today. No dodgy ads anymore smoother feel and the font they use for text is awesome !

I see. How do you find the battery management? i.e. apps being killed in background, missed notifications etc? It took me a while to wrangle MIUI13 to just ok. I constantly have a "edge is abusing resources in the background" notification too.

How is the camera? Is there any 120 or 240 fps video recording?

      • 1080p@30/60/120/240fps

  • At this price I'd expect eSIM

    • +4

Well that's good, because in the specs it says it does

      • I have the 13T (not pro), just note that eSim is not active for AU.
I think I've seen it active if I change the region to UK

When i say is not active, i meant the esim option doesn't appear

  • Any AI features? I agree it's a powerful beast of a phone but wondering if for that price you would be missing out on the very convenient AI features from a Pixel 8 version or Samsung S24…
Just curious. Looking at the 13 Pro not as specced up as the 13T.

    • +1

Samsung ai underwhelming, some of the pixel features you get with a Google one subscription anyway (magic eraser in photos). I wouldn't trust Xiaomi AI with my data at all.

    • Was about to buy the S24 just for its AI features, but didn't because Galaxy AI was released for my S23 anyway. Haven't used it once since the update.

    • AI is just a meme

  • Did the ever sort out the ban on Google apps & Play Store?

    • They all look the same to you, don't they?

      • What are you talking about?

        • +1

I think the OP means you might be confusing it with Huawei?

          • @batrarobin: Ah, he'd be right, I was confusing them. Huawei ever sort the issue out?

  • Xiao-me or Gouge-me now ? What's with the prices? Are these guys the new fruit company.

    • Budget series is redmi and poco.

  • FYZ15 code cannot be applied. It says wrong code

Need to have zip pay selected, but you can use Gift cards instead

      • It works. Thank you

  • Will the upcoming lack of 3G service affects this phone? My service provider is telling my Redmi phone is not going to be compatible and I'll need to find a new phone to receive call and use data.

    • Meant to mention this in the main post. No it won't, but you need to switch off VoLTE + VoWifi carrier checks. You will also get a very annoying prerecorded 20 second message every time you make a call between now and August.

Source: both Mi10T Pro and Mi10T Pro in our households are doing this and it's driving us nuts, and is one of the reasons we're looking to upgrade. Just no compelling upgrades around. This looks okay, but still have to deal with the annoying message

  • Personally I'm holding out for the 13pro to become available again (3 month wait due to stock shortages).

The camera is far superior and the phone scores are consistently higher across multiple rating sites.

    • That might be true, but I can't see any listings for close to under $1000?

      • +1

Nope, but global version grey imports when available are circa $850 delivered via becextech.

  • I agree, I went with the 13 pro - better specs and, believe it or not, a 3.5mm audio jack!

Right now you can buy the redmi note 13 pro in Europe for under 300 euros on Amazon.de (I just bought one on holiday) so it is definitely available for less than 500 AUD.

    • 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro are two different phones.

      • Quite right, sorry. Xiaomi's product range is very confusing with so many near-identical names!
