        Yes pretty much all Chinese camera brands play a roll in the mass surveillance. Tp Link are Chinese too so they have their own share of concerns.

          @Clear: There's "being a Chinese company" and there's "developing technology specifically to use for warfare for the CCP". We made a business decision not to support hikvision for the same reason, despite their rep's best efforts

            @Ezekiel2320: It's not that simple. Any Chinese business (including TP Link) that want to do business overseas need to answer to the CCP among other things. There's legitimate spying concerns with all of them.
