    Yeah but it's basically a Japanese speciality.

    Typically milk bread, coleslaw and mayonnaise and a thick chicken katsu.

    I survived many days riding on these beauties.

    It’s just the Japanese (shortened) word for sandwich (sandoicchi), but now generally understood in the Western market as a usually crustless white bread sandwich with a fried filling inside like chicken, pork, prawn, etc.
