Just what I need for my Ozito ebike

    • I used them to replace SLA batteries on an old 36V bike. They had no problem pulling 20A, though I'd recommend using 4 batteries in a 2x2.

    • Hey Clear is the bike any good

  • Are there adapters to use these in other systems?

I bought a 3D printed Ozito to Ryobi adapter off Gumtree to use them on my mower, adapter lasted 15 minutes. I'm no electrican and have no idea what broke, inside the adapter looks like two wires connected to two pieces of metal really, but the adapter wouldn't work anymore, that's my $45 ($35 for the unit and $10 shipping) wasted. If anyone can find a good quality adapter (?) I'd also like to know.

      • I also looked around but found nothing else but 3D-printed adapters. I don't trust they used a suitable filament. It could melt or soften underload if the wrong type of filament is used.

          YMMV.
I have had a lot of success using adapters to use my Bosch batteries in Ozito/Makita/Dewalt tools.
          No faults at all.

          • @kingsville: I might give it a go since it's the only option that I could find for Ozito to Ryobi

  • Anyone want to split in Brisbane?

    • I bought some Brisbane(Underwood ) if you like to do halves ?’ Inbox me

  • So 10 x 2000mAh 18650s in one right?

    • This sounds about right.

      • Thinking of buying a few for shucking the batteries. I think they use no-name brand 18650s but would be heaps better and safer than the cr*p on Aliexpress and $3.22 per cell would be an unbeatable deal.

        • I had a peek inside an old one a while back. They seemed to be flat both ends, (no nubby bit at the pos end) so may need to mod with a bit of foil or something for a standard fit.

        • There are excellent quality 18650s on aliexpress, you just need to choose one of the longstanding brands

    • Correct. 5S2P, high discharge cells. Shucking time?

  • If anyone wants to split this in Perth, DM me.

waiting for ryobi batt on sale like before needed couple more of 4.0 or up

    • These Ozito deals do make it tempting to cut across from Ryobi! More deals to be had, especially when they price match Aldi specials etc.

      • I just tried drilling some holes in my bathroom tiles with my Ryobi 18v… did not get the job done, ended up using a dewalt 18V I had (from an Ozb post)

I bought these Ozitos for my mower, but would be keen on Ozito drills if they've got grunt like the dewalt

I just finished renovating my ensuite. (Bloody) Porcelain tiles, drilled 15 to 20 5/6mm holes and roughly 8 bigger tap ones 20mm-30mm with the diamond bits. All done with the ozito brushless drill. $99 on special around 5 years ago.

    • Just buy fake eBay ones,,,, I bought one and it seems fine to me, all my Ryobi batteries are junk.

Great to use in kids' ride on vehicles

    • Aren't they like 6 volts?

      • Most are 12v in high speed mode (eg Powerwheels vehicles). They go a little faster with the Ozito battery. You can buy adapters for this battery to fit ride ons. Plenty of people showing how to do this on YouTube

  • Cheers, got one C&C from Glendale NSW

  • Pair of batteries should last 2-4 years easily. Just wondering why people need so many of them?

    • I've got a backyard / upstairs garden shed, and a frontyard/downstairs toolshed. I want batteries in both so I've always got them when I need them.

I'm also running quite a few of the 36V units that require 2 batteries. e.g. lawnmower and jet blower, or chainsaw.

I could get through 4 batteries and be on may way into another 4 by mowing the lawns and using the jet blower.

    • FYI my 4Ah Bosch battery was purchased in 2012. Still going strong doing weekly leaf blower thingy.

      • My first original 3ah died on me. Same, 12years of use. But I've emptied it (toasty) countless times. Back on the charger, while I use the next.
I had some tough times, and being tight, bought many rounds of ebay knock-off 4ah & 5ah ones. They were fine, and MUCH cheaper. But 2-5years of life in my experience.

Because they only last 2-4 years?

  • Anyone have a source for an adaptor to convert these into aldi xfinity plus?

If you do, then it'd be cheaper than buying 4x of aldi's batteries from them

    • I've looked into this - I didn't find an easy solution unfortunately. I wish I'd gone ozito instead of aldi a few years ago

  • Could anyone share a link to ozito to DeWalt adapter? Can't seem to find anything on Amazon.
    Thanks heaps
