  • Does anyone know if the external drain hose is gravity fed only? My drain will be higher than the outlet, so want to make sure it would work. The manual states floor drain, so I think maybe not?

    • Im 90% sure it is. They come with the u bend plastic bracket to make sure it siphons into the drain, like the washing machine ones.

    • My bosch has a pump, the outlet on the dryer side where the hose connects is at floor height

  • Good price on the Solt (Esatto rebadge?) heat pump dryer with the current eBay deal.

Think so - our second Esatto broke a belt, and they (Esatto) apparently didn't have parts to replace but offered a "Solt" instead. Can't comment on differences or quality as we got our money back instead.

    • Esatto heat pump dryer or a different type of appliance?

SA residents can claim a $188 rebate on this model through YESS
    https://yess.net.au/our-services/appliance-rebate/check-by-b…

    • I got $141 on the calculator with no pension etc. I guess you'd get more if on some kind of concession

    • Hi Bruceflix,
Do you know any Victorian company does that ,because I was going through all comments, after looking on to your .I rang them ,they said they served only SA .
If you know any vic company please share TIA .

Solt / Esatto / Stirling all have a pump at the bottom tray to fill top tank. Can disconnect on rear lower panel (option) to drain from bottom if required. Pump lifts the water in both cases so none of these are gravity fed. All machines are certainly okay but eventually lint mixes with the water and gets in the float sensor and jams. If you clean both filters regularly then they last a long time. It’s just a bit difficult to clean the float as right side panel as you look at them needs to come off to access and clean the float.

What float? Heat pump dryers have floats?

This prob a stupid question, but these can’t go on the wall like a regular dryer?
They are heavy like a front loader washing machine?
I don’t know much about them, sorry!

    • +1

Yes, these are heavy due to the compressor so cannot wall mount

      • Thank you.

      • I have a wall mount to brick in the garage from the previous owner. Anyone had one mounted to brick with issues, id assume probably wouldnt? Cant seem to see anything about the weight of the machine. Had my eye on this one the last couple days, reviews seem good for the price.

        • +1

I checked the data sheet, see d to be either 49 or 50kg.

From what i gather, wall mounting is only for vented dryers, not condenser or heat pump

  • Do this work even if the room is cold? ie. In the garage shere temp can drop in the winter due to uninsulated and no a/c.

    • Worked all winter for me last year - but I had the beko branded one

  • Any idea how reliable these are? I'm considering this vs Kogan one both cheapy but also checking out 2nd hand major brands too.

    • Same any idea

      • I ended up buying one anyway since it's within my budget
