i have a 10 year warranty on my Mitsubishi. perfect timing after 10 years to switch to electric as it will be a law passed that we all have to drive electric.

    • Who is going to pass this 2034 law? Are they in the room with us now?

      • the plan is for 2035, i guess we will see if it does go through or not, but either way it will be the right time for me to purchase another vehicle.

  • Sealion 6!

  • Just got a 2022 Honda civic and I can understand why it’s so overpriced.

Although, it’s a fun car to drive, there could’ve been so many more features to factor in the price. Like reverse sensors for example

I hate these deals from Honda. I purchased a Honda Civic many years ago when they had standard 3-year warranties. A month after purchase they had a 'special deal' extending warranty to 5 years. They refused to honour the 5 years on my car, even though it was recently purchased.

Vowed never to buy another Honda again. They don't care about the customer once they have your money. These days they are extremely poor value compared to the competition.

    • +4

So what's your actual reason to neg? Because they didn't "honour" a promotion that you didn't purchase?

      • -6

Because they don't give a ** about the customer. How about that?

        • +4

How is that different to other manufacturers?

Further more. Customer service is different to the product/promotion offered here?

On the bright side, if you buy a Honda now, you get 5 years more than your previous purchase!

One of the first to “pre-order” the new CRV. Three months later a promo for 7 year warranty and now 8 year warranty. Honda Australia simply ignored my request for promo. Dealer also ignore calls and emails once they got the sale.

      • +1

Cancel the pre-order. Honda has an obligation free cancellation until the car hits the showroom.

Thank you. All the fan boy negs against my post don't discount that Honda don't care after they have your money. I would put it in the category of price matches after someone purchases a product within a certain time period. In this case it would have cost Honda very little if nothing to extend the promo to recent customers. Oh well their loss as I won't be going back.

        • If you think Honda is bad, try VW and Ford. Ford was so bad that ACCC actually took action.

Just car manufacturers in general. Only positive experience to-date is Lexus. They've repair something out of warranty without putting up a fight.

    • -1

So you would expect Honda to extended the warranty for everyone who bought a Honda recently to 8 years because of this deal?

      • -6

You're missing the point. The way they treat the customer is the problem. Not the specific details of promo. And in answer to your question, yes they probably should, if a customer asks for it (within a reasonable time of course). Its called good will.

  • Does the extra years warranty pass to new owner if car is sold? If so how does a new owner verify how much warranty there is?

  • Great they are now offering this to level the playing field with other car manufacturers.

The CRV eHEV is an excellent drive. Would have bought it if it weren't for the Mrs.
Love the exterior of the car. Like most Japanese cars these days, the interior feels a little dated (although a massive improvement over the previous gen)

Also would liked to have seen a 360 camera at this price point

  • +1

Not sure how's the quality of Honda vehicles these days but the design is absolutely average, below average. Somewhere there with Nissan, Mitsubishi, Suzuki etc. Toyota is trying something a bit kind of European style with Koba, kia and Hyundai are just riding whatever trendy bandwagon they can jump on same as Haval, MG.

    • So what would.you suggest lol

  • Odd the CR-V lacks a 360° camera in Australia yet the smaller sibling ZR-V has it?

    Strange.

    • Australia got the 'cut down' version compared SE Asia. No HUD, no 360.

      • Odd right? I know it's such a trivial thing but it's enough for someone like me not to buy it.

        • +2

360 is the only reason I'm not getting CR-V

  • -1

just ran them up out of stock, anyone got a website to track stock locations?

  • +1

Only gripe is that you can't get the 7 seater CR-V with the Hybrid version. Otherwise it'll be serious contender for me.

  • Why did Honda Australia stopped selling the Honda Jazz

    • Because it wasn't selling well in the Asia Pacific so it was pulled, Australia only buys a few cars compared to America or China so what we want is worth a whisper

  • No offense but how did you survive without a 360 camera before?!!! Surely people don't need half these safety alerts progammes / or large infotainment screen nonsense.
Maybe if people used their indicators and where a bit more attentive if would be alot more useful.

Hondas will last and last .That's what they should be really be judged on. I'd rather pay5k extra on a Honda and keep it for 10years than a lot of the others, don't forget their servicing is dirt cheap compared to kia etc

Ive had two Honda Accords recently, still have a 2011 model.
There's been quite a few problems and with the high cost of parts I probably wouldnt buy another Honda.
Oil leaks, 3 alternators (yeah), air conditioning, steering rack, high pressure power steering hose, power steering pumps, drivers side window switch panel…
The list goes on and on.
    I would avoid

Hondas used to be quality but we had a Honda CRV bought back around 2017/2018 and built quality was rubbish. Plastic on the gear selector just broke one day. Plastic around the wheel arches became really wierd with what looked like stress cracks forming. We sold it prior to the warranty running out. I personally wouldnt touch Hondas again

Must be a lot of Honda fans in ozb.. How on earth rrp with just inflated warranty consisted a bargain?

    • Im a honda fan and never though this was a bargain.

  • Free extension of warranty and roadside assist to 8 years max. for cars still under warranty if you service it at the dealership.

    https://www.honda.com.au/owners/honda-extend

    • They're getting desperate with their marketshare, if any.

  • Anyone bought Honda recently? I know the price is not negotiable now but do they still able to give out extras like carpet mat, tint windows etc? Thanks!

    • No. They don't. But if car mat alone, I would recommend after market ones from rubbertree https://www.rubbertree.com.au/products/landing/446/rubber

      • I have Rubber tree rubber mats to protect my factory mats lol. But can't recommend them as they not a cutout match to OEM mats. Really weird why they didn't just buy OEM ones to create a template and then cut them to match perfectly.

        • For ours all comes in factory measurement, including the safety clips. The rubber is excellent quality and much thicker than the factory ones

          • @[Deactivated]: What brand car? My Hyundai didn't match.

            • @0 0 0: Lexus/Toyota/Honda.

            • @0 0 0: They are very specific with years and models are the mats are built to templates/order.

              • @[Deactivated]: Do you work for Rubbertree?

                • @0 0 0: ?

Edit: No… based on personal experience. the Lexus was a hard one that even dealers dont stock rubber mats (available in the US in LHD). Ours were shipped from NZ via DHL, assuming that they are made there.
