Some good ride away deals on Honda scooters, particularly the PCX 125, which is normally $4499 plus on road cost (around $5400 ride away). Likely clearing MY23 models to make way for the MY25 which will arrive later this year.

Very little floor stock available, but models are available to order with stock arriving in June according to my local dealer.

The PCX 125 is a great deal.

CFMoto just released the 150SC for $4,790.

    https://www.cfmoto.com.au/model/150sc

    • heavy for a little bike

      • PCX 130kg 9.2kw
        150SC 135kg 10.5kw

These scooters are much more comfortable than smaller Dio's, RS125, Address's, etc.

        • dio, address: 97kg. Narrower and much more nimble for filtering and manouvering around the front of stationary cars etc. You actually get all the advantages of a scooter. Also, 14" wheels

$3.5K or $4.5K a lot of money for a single exhaust pipe.

    • aren’t e-bikes pushing $3k top end? Same same except one is insured

      • +3

more like 20k top end, 10k high end, 7k premium, 5k good quality, 3k cheap quality.

It's even broken the $20k mark now, truly a stupid age

@Telios: a fraction of the weight, truly awesome brakes and suspension. For that money I'm guessing emtb; scooter wouldn't get a look in at the riding those things can do. Scooter is a basic commuter. It will be undersprung for most of us, shitful ground clearance. They're awesome for commuting through slow traffic - just filter past everyone and enjoy the ride. Also awesome economy; I'm getting 42km/Liter. I'm 90kg with gear, half my 20km (each way) commute is through traffic, the other half cruising on 80km/h. I also have some steep hills

Can't remember the name now, tried looking for it but can't find immediately - but at the everything electric show in Sydney a few weeks ago there was a local (Five Dock) scooter manufacturer (designed here, made in China of course) and they looked pretty cool. Not big and unwieldy like some. Classic scooter / vespa shape. Had something like a 130km range and top speed of 90km/h with two removable batteries. Around $3500-$4000. Spoke to the owner / designer - no wankery so prevalent in the EV space. Pretty sensible consideration for someone looking for a scooter.

Fonz? They are pretty good looking electric motorcycles, but I think the cheapest model is around $6k to $7k.

      I think you're talking about these guys(rollnmopeds.com.au).

        Yep that's them.

Top speed 80. Still plenty for heaps of uses.

The Forza 350 is a spectacular machine. I’ve owned countless motorbikes and Vespas and other scooters. The Forza is the most practical, fun, and economical machine going around.

    • for a single cylinder 350 I don't understand how they can be so heavy. This is why the 110's look so good - everything starts going south once you get bigger. Consider the honda 500 variants (CL500/NX500) are only 9kg heavier than the forza. They get 26.5km/L average (in real life) - the forza gets an extra 1km / L https://www.fuelly.com/motorcycle/honda/forza_350. Also, the 500's are understressed motors - their compression means they only need 91 octane - anything higher is wasted, unless you're after the detergent package. This is why the 500's easily clock 100,000km with all sorts of riders - some get to 500,000km

I mean, the Forza is a big bike for the entire size, plus stuff like the electronic wind screen must add weight etc too. Either way it doesn’t feel ludicrously heavy or cumbersome. I’ve owned all size bikes from 1000cc down to 50cc and the Forza 350 is my all time favourite and most useful.

    Scooter, are you ready?

    • Those who know, know 😁

    • Junglists in the place, Junglists on the case.

  • Does this mean the 2nd hand market will drop in a couple of weeks?
How good is the second hand value of the NSS350 Forza $9999 ride away?

Wondering if I buy this as an instant tax write off, as the scheme is ending this year. I can't find a decent suv for under 20k, used, fairly new(5 years). I would get an suv instead if I could, but for work, both will suffice.

    • No, but it will mean you have some negotiating leverage.

  • The navi looks pretty cool and an easy place to start for a beginner.

    • +2

If you eventually want to upgrade to a big motorcycle, don't bother with the automatic Navi.

You should be learning manual from the get go.

  • I’ll take the bike in the thumbnail for $4499
