  • Isn't this one on ebay from Device deal is cheaper for $1246?

    • Definitely is but if you want to pick it up today, JB’s might be a better option for some.

    • +1

I found dealing with warranty for eBay shops to be a hit and miss. esp with the no name shops, with no shop front.

For a little more, JB is usually pretty good.

  • would price beat at bunnings work?

    • Hit and miss, I tried to pricematch with device deal's 1189 price but they refused as they said they dont pricematch with coupon codes.

      • yeah they told me that also but the manager overturned it so they did! But I had to work for it that's for sure.

  • Good price for a good product.
Does what it says on the tin.
    Longevity is more unknown.

    • Still running fine for me after a year.

Replaced arlo which decided to charge subscription for a product that never had one before and after an internet outrage backed down.

At eufy actually works. The number of times arlos would simply stop working due to some server-side update was terrible. Even worse when I was away, couldn't reset them physically and had a complete lack of security operational. Support was useless and that is being kind, as you have to pay for any access, even under warranty from my experience.

    • I bought a couple of older models. I quite like them and the software is surprisingly good.

My one complaint is that one of my cameras was stolen (wasn't fixed in place, just had it floating and someone walked in and nicked it).

I contacted Eufy support to see if they'd block the serial number but they said they can't do that. I kinda get it; not sure what the right balance is here but knowing that if they get stolen they can simply and easily be repurposed with little effort by the thief makes me a bit wary of them.

    • I have had this set for 17 months and they have been great - still sitting on 100% battery. I also bought two of the 2K Pro cameras at the same time and haven't had to charge them yet either but they get a lot less detections being inside - great battery life.

$1179 delivered if you order from their website and use the eufyspecial promo code https://www.devicedeal.com.au/eufy-security-eufycam-3-4k-wir…

    • Can they match this price in JB or Bunnings?

      • I tried but they said they wouldn’t price match with coupon codes, it’s gotta be off the ticketed price. It’s hit and miss depends on what ever manager is in tbh as I’ve deffs pricematched with coupon codes before

        • +1

Surprisingly, JB matched the DeviceDeal price of 1179 and on top I used the 10% Perks promo and using gift voucher got 5% on top. Which brought down 1009$. Worth the attempt. Tried 2 Bunnings before JB, they denied it.

@TheDevil: That’s a bargin !!! I tried the online JB hi fi price matching thing and the bloke I spoke to refused. It really depends on who you get, some managers are chill and some aren’t

            • @zwanny: True. Just luck or may be nudging people when the store closes can get what we need!

  • The places I would likely put these would mean they are under eaves or similar shaded spots. I suppose the cameras need to be installed in direct sunlight to charge ok?

    • +1

Yes. However it seems the battery lasts long - from the comments here.

  • Isnt this kit usually around $2k from JB-HIFI? I'm sure when shopping around for security cameras

  • Does this model support homekit iCloud security video? I know 2 and 2c do, but on apples website it doesn't mention 3

  • man i didnt get any codes for this. does someone mind sharing it. Ive signed up and everything but no email

  • Offer expired man I am so pissed off. Didnt get a bloody code in email and kept getting told that my cart has changed and did not allow me to check out while trying to use one of the free codes available in the other thread

    • check DeviceDeal, it's cheaper and try Price Beat at Bunnings.
