    Yeah, they work with and without a hub. The hub lets you store videos locally, so you can skip their overpriced subscription. But honestly, the hub sucks without the subscription. Its Wi-Fi range is terrible, and it doesn’t offer features like object recognition, activity zones, or HomeKit Secure Video, even though they advertise HomeKit support.

  Note some Pro 4 cameras can exhibit annoying static/electrical noises in the audio of live streams and recordings (speaking from personal experience with two separate packs, and there are multiple reports on the Arlo forums). I'd recommend checking for that and be ready to return them if it bothers you. It's an issue that is specific to the Pro 4.
