    Arlo is good
But the fact that they basically force you to pay for the subscription is a deal breaker.
I had the essential paying $4.99 a month but now i would rather just buy a tapo with local storage or eufy if you already have the hub

So pretty much just like having a Ring Solution.

      100% agree

      The subscription is sh!t house

I’ll be glad to see the back of my Arlo system

I personally don’t mind the subscription. Everything just works in terms of people detection etc, and if you have multiple cameras the plan is very affordable, $15 for unlimited cameras.

What makes the subscription sh!t house? Just the cost?

If you have the base station it can record to a SD card.

Many features wont work without subscription. I got rid of everything Arlo and glad to see the back of them.

      • That's very un-ozbargain like

        • Hahaha, for me OzBargain is paying the cheapest for what you need.

Some people don’t need the subscription, some people do.

I don’t like having things that might be important stored locally on something that may get corrupt.

Already needed to use it twice, both for police investigations in the neighbourhood. Worth the subscription.

No SD card storage for those wondering. Only backups to a paid cloud account.
