I did see that, double stacking afterpay codes! Unfortunately, it only comes around once a year
Was able to grab A9+ for $299 when catch dropped the price. Marched it with JB
You were one of the only winners out of that deal. All of us ended up with a 64gb/4gb model and most went straight back to catch.
Coz real winners don't order from Catch. They price match.
Thanks, picked one up for the kids.
This Samsung 8GB or this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/844865?
Id go the Samsung
resell value/warranty/support/updates - Samsung wins
surprisingly this model uses a snapdragon chipset.
Thanks. Do low end like this oneSamsung tablets get years of OS or security updates generally?
I have a samsung A7 tablet gets android 14, one iu 6.0 and security update 1 dec 2023.
I've had 3 Samsung tablets for the family, and 2 Lenovo laptops… My Samsung tablet has been going strong since 2017 and only just showing signs of slowing down now / updates no longer supported - mind you it was a top of the range almost $1K one back then.
I can't speak for their tablets directly but the Lenovo laptops were nothing special and didn't end up lasting all that long. (mind you, laptops tend to be shorter lived than tablets for some reason).
I'm here looking at this now because of the Samsung name and 7 good years from my old tablet.
Thanks for your response. Do you know if this tablet supports DeX?
I don't think so, need S series. This is still a budget-mid range tablet.
I should probably mention my good tablet I got years out of is a S series (S2) so not sure if that makes a difference to longevity.
They stopped supporting it with updates / new android versions a while back, but then its version was released in 2016.
So its time is about up
Would this be a good deal ?

Thy force you on a $20p/m plan tho
Get the 8GB ram variant ! Massive difference in performance.
This vs a 9th gen iPad for $420 using JB hifi perks voucher? Current iPad has served me well for 10 years for the kids but chance to get away from apple eco system… Have android everything else.
JB perk excluded apple product?
Didn't even think of that! And they wonder why people want out of their ecosystem…
yeah not that cheap I got my 128gb model for 330 delivered back in March 2024
