Trying learn about monitors and often see this comment.
Why is it important to know monitors are VA?
What are VA monitors user type
What are the other types on monitors?
TN = Low viewing angles, low colour quality, Low black levels but fast pixel refresh rate ( Ghosting )
VA = Better viewing angles, good colour quality, great black levels but slow pixel refresh rate ( Ghosting )
IPS = Great viewing angles, good colour quality, ok black levels and good pixel refresh rate ( Ghosting )
OLED = Great viewing angles, great colour quality, Perfect black levels and very fast pixel refresh rate ( Ghosting ) but OLED is expensive and has a small risk of image retention ( Burn in )
IPS and VA Panels are not the same even if using the same base technology.
True 10Bit LCD Panels have the best colour ( You will find these in TV's and Workstation monitors )
Most panels are either 8bit or 8-bit + Frame Rate Control (FRC) to emulate 10bit and the cheapo ones will even be 6-bit+FRCTN's are being phased out in consumer laptop and desktop monitors but most of those used to only be 6bit panels.
Thanks
60hz? blech…. wait… Im not that guy.
Good price for a second monitor?
Great price for a 1st monitor.
Shit price for 3rd monitor
It's a very solid general use monitor, with 65w PD through the USB C connection - very nice for the business laptop WFH crowd.
Doesn't seem to have a KVM which is a shame but still a great price considering everything else.
I can't see KVM listed in specs but I have m7 32" and wife and I have a laptop each but use the same mouse and keyboard depending which laptop is connected - does that mean its got a inbuilt KVM?
it would be the case if the keyboard and mouse are connected directly to the monitor.
@Caped Baldy: Yep - via Logitech unifyer USB
Also recently got a Keychron K17 pro and initially using it via USB (connected to monitor) when setting up VIA keymaps
@parker2004au: can u buy a kvm switch seperate and just usr that lol
$300 4k oled high rr waiting room
This or Kogan 32" QHD 75Hz for wfh?
Personally at 32" I wouldn't do anything less than 4k. I used a QHD monitor at that size for a couple of months and really didn't enjoy it, but that's me.
VA eeew but HDR10 and smarts. Good price overall.
Picked up in the last deal. Great on a monitor arm as a dual-purpose TV and monitor. 65w passthrough usb charging/video output is really useful. Might be easier to price match JB if they have stock. If you want ad-free youtube I recommend sideloading Tizenbrew. Note it will need reinstallation after 30 days, alternatively can install with the Tizen SDK.
Showing as $397 now
Back to $397
Whew - added it to my cart on the phone… got distracted, came back to my PC to buy it and saw this comment. Sure enough - $397 when I clicked through. Surprisingly, my phone still had it in the cart, and honoured the $299 price I added it at.
Could you please pm me screenshot of your order hiding your personal details of course😊
Damn, was going to go to price match at officeworks for 2
Probably next time try to do a back up purchase first before going to Officeworks for a price match. What I mean, buy it from Amazon first (since they wont charged your card right away as it says there ‘Usually ships between 2-4 weeks’), then go to Officeworks after doing this. At least if you missed on the opportunity to do a price match, you will still have a back up. I hope this one helps.
Yeah, was buying tvs before then
Dang I missed it
It'll be back, not the first time recently its been this price.
Anyone got screenshot please ?
Why
To match the price, Had in my cart but when I finished work and checked, price had gone up
Lol it's smart guys no one seem yo mention not like those silly dumb monitors guess it's cool to watch netflix directly on the monitor smart OS
Has anyone received their monitor? Mine is marked as lost…
My tracking below. I messaged Amazon and they are providing me with a refund as there was an 'incident' which means 'the package can't be delivered'. They were very vague and it's frustrating as I need a monitor lol. I just feel like one of contractors along the way legged it with my monitor. Sigh. They can't provide me with a replacement because the monitor is out of stock. Once it's in stock apparently I can repurchase it at the same price (not exactly sure how yet).
